About
The Harbor Pines Golf Club is a public facility that boasts an 18-hole, four-star golf course with subtle, breaking greens that provide a challenge for all golfers. The holes are very private and the fairways are wide and open.
The environment friendly course is a local favorite and is considered among women to be one of the best courses for women to play on. The beautiful natural landscape with seventeen acres of water and 520 acres of forestry has even been certified as an National Audubon Sanctuary. The relatively flat course does offer challenges for experienced golfers but it will not be too difficult for intermediate or beginning golfers. Both the 16th and 17th holes are difficult par-4's and the course has various hazards scattered throughout.

Challenging and Rewarding
Great layout and course conditions. Greens were perfect with challenging pin placements. Course was fair and allowed for some scoring opportunities.

Great layout course in excellent condition Many interesting holes and a lot of variation course plays fair some of the greens are very interesting swales multi levels etc all in all a great course in an area with a lot of good choices
A Perfect Day
Being down in Avalon for the week from Philly, the temperature and weather here was perfect, even with a mid-afternoon tee time. All of the grounds were in excellent condition and the setting is completely serene. The staff were as friendly and attentive as could be. I will look forward to my next round here.
Extremely Slow
First time playing here and right from the get go, I knew it was going to be long as we didn’t tee off till 9:39 for a 8:59 tee time which I feel happens quite frequently. Plus, no Marshall’s out there trying to push the pace of play. Don’t care what course it is or how well your playing, it kills the round when you can’t get any rhythm when your waiting 10-15 mins per shot.

Nice course, greens were in good shape cart path only for front nine, so very slow play. Also started 20 minutes late. Staff was friendly.

Tee time was at 12:08 didn't tee off until 1:10. Starter and bag attendants could be more organized and not so carefree that tee times were very delayed. Play was about 4:15 Course is in great shape would play again!
Great Course! Slow start.
The course was in great condition and the pace of play was fine. That is, once we got started... we had an 11:20 tee time, but didn’t tee off until 12:05. Once we got rolling the pace was fine. I guess that can happen on a holiday weekend, but 40+ minute delay is a lot.
The course was fun. Just the right distance, with just the right amount of hazards. Large greens that are fast. Some bunkers were well kept, other a little tough.
I would play here again, but not in a holiday.

Perfectly fine golf course in very good condition with amicable.staff...on our list of play at the South Jersey Shore area.

Awesome day
Great experience all around....got off the first tee 15mins early. Staff was quick to greet us and get us started. Course was challenging and the greens were large and fast....spend time on the putting greens and make some long distance putts....there is no doubt you will have to make at least three 50 footers during your round. I would come back to play again...the course beat me but it won’t next time...you don’t need your driver on a few holes to get on in regulation....in fact bunkers come Into play....Play smart ... position ur tee short to avoid hazards using hybrids and irons....no doubt u will have a great round.
fine course and conditions
Harbor Pines is a fine course and kept nicely as well. The staff is pleasant and we had a nice round on a windy day. The greens are fast and firm and enormous. Fairways are quite generous on most holes so you don't have to be exact off the tee. The challenge is the 2nd shot as the greens are undulating and its not easy to hit it close. Looking forward to playing it again this summer.
