Bedford Trails Golf Course is situated just east of Youngstown in Coitsville. The course is one of northeastern Ohio's hidden gems. The modest 6,340-yard layout is seemingly easy but don't underestimate the punch that this course packs. What it may lack in length, the course certainly makes up for with other challenges. You accuracy will be tested with the tight fairways lined with mature trees. Even seasoned players will want to have extra balls handy. Though they are relatively flat, the small size of the greens is what will be the tricky part. Pin placement is the key. Bedford Trails Golf Course isn't exceedingly difficult, but you'll want to strategize each hole carefully. It's a challenging but fun round with affordable green fees that any skill level can appreciate.

Good value for the price
Course conditions are average at best, but it was wet both times I played it so conditions should improve as it dries out. Greens are small with significant slope on some. Small clubhouse, but food is excellent.
Was a nice round
Course is good for the price. It becomes a challenging course with all the trees, but that’s not why I gave a 3 star. Fairways are a little rough and doesn’t give you much to work from. Greens were terrible. Felt like the greens had more sand than the bunkers did and they still had dead spot.
If those 2 things got fixed it’d be great.

Cart Path Only- Very Wet
Even though it was cart path only, the sun was shining on a 45* day and it was windy, I still had lots of fun. I could only play 9 holes because another storm was coming. Thanks to the owner for coming out on the course to warm me about approaching storm. Several days of rain and high winds made the course more challenging because hit balls were sticking in the mud. 98% of all the other local golf courses were closed. I comment Bedford Trails for allowing me to start my round. They truly understand the bad effects that "cabin fever " has on golfers living in Ohio. I think that learning to play in nasty cold, damp and windy conditions helps you play better golf when it is warm and perfect conditions. Thank you Bedford Trails for getting me out to play golf.

Tight Course with not a lot to offer
Leaves everywhere which made it tough to find your ball. Don’t see why they couldn’t have been picked up at the end of the season. Course wasn’t in terrible condition but it wasn’t all that special. Was boring to play.

Rude staff
Played 13 holes after starting on the back and we’re never told it was to be cart path only. Then got yelled at for looking for our balls in the fairway because there were leaves everywhere because they never cleaned up the course at the end of the season. Poor management and conditions were beyond poor. Owner was rude while on the course and won’t ever go back again

Bedford end of 2022 season
Course in relatively good condition. Weather was spectacular. Always great to have restaurant on site. Great value for the package fee offered.
Very nice coarse
Good course I had a nice lay out tight fairways and opened up near the greens great value for the money.

Horrible Tee Boxes
Greens were best part of the course other than that I will probably never play there again. Starter was very rude.
After the amount of money we spent there for 3 of us to play there for first time and the way the starter spoke to us I don't think we will be back unless we were given something to accommodate.

Grass was up to the cart
Never seen grass so long on a golf course. And there was a lot of ground under repair. Tee boxes were also in bad shape.

Not worth it
Just pay another $10-$20 and go play a course that is actually worthwhile. Not worth it. Not even a little. I've been here before and think it'll change. It never does. Kind of sad. They do have a great kitchen nevertheless

Awful
Standing stagnant water everywhere.
Poor conditions everywhere.
Filthy mud stained carts.

Trails through the woods
Course is set in a township. Fairly rural. Most holes are tree lined with dog legs. Water hazards are a big part of several holes where trees may be absent. Carts are newer with USB chargers.

Very friendly staff, easy to get a tee time and good food and service in the restaurant.
