Brookledge Golf Club
About
Brookledge Golf Club sprawls across more than 120 acres of gently rolling hills and mature woodlands. The course is an Arthur Hills design and considered one of the finest public golf courses in northeast Ohio. Originally opened in 1988, the course later underwent a major renovation that included the installation of a new aeration system and the replacement of all the sand traps. The golf course is challenging with trees lining the fairways and framing the greens, leaving little room for error off the tees or on the approaches. The greens are subtly elevated and well protected by mounding and bunkers. Brookledge Golf Club's tricky putting surfaces have mild undulations that can cause subtle breaks in putts. Trees play a more prominent role on the back nine, especially on the closing holes.

Yin and Yang for this course
It was a perfect Fall day for golf, and half of our experience at Brookledge was great. Apparently there was a frost delay - we arrived well after that - and we were sent off on the front nine. It was beautiful - we finished in under two hours. Then we made the turn, only to find 15 carts backed up at Hole 10. But that wasn’t the worst part - they were sending off two players by themselves, without pairing them up. Some players were with beginners, and they were allowing them to hit two or three balls off the tee. But the worst part was the Starter who was GRILLING us…asking us why we started the day on Hole 1. Other than the fact that we were instructed to tee off there? No particular reason. He was so upset by this - he just wouldn’t let it go - to the point where we told him to refund our money. He let it go at that point - we have never been treated this way on a golf course - anywhere. Unbelievable. And the back nine took 3 hours and 15 minutes to play - it was painful…while the front 9 remained empty. Horrible course management. This has happened before here, but we’ve never been berated for doing what we’re told.
Nice Course but Allow Fivesomes
Nice course. In good shape. Unfortunately it was marred by a 4:45 round behind a fivesome. We were a twosome. Thing is the ranger asked us to play through on the 3rd hole but then came back and told us they were backed up. Not the case on the back nine and no play through from group ahead and no ranger. Waiting on tee box for 5 to 10 minutes on most holes as group ahead hunted for their balls. Miserable! Hope this is uncommon but course should not allow more than four out at a time..
Great course for the money
Tee boxes were pretty well used but it has also been raining for several days. The rest of the course was in great shape, greens are challenging. Fun course. Will certainly play again.
Punched greens and 900 people
You can certainly tell the course didn't care about pace of play or how long you had to wait.
The back 9 was great very little waiting, but the front nine was very congested.
All the greens where punched but no one said anything about it. The cashier was just that, gave us no information just sent us out.
The clubhouse is really nice, the food does not match it.
Beautiful!
Course is in great shape. Haven’t played here in a few years and it was a blast to come back. Keep it up Brookledge!
Nice course, challenging greens, a little short
Overall a nice course, it was in pretty good shape. The greens are this courses main defense as they have a lot of rolls and breaks. The length is relatively short at around 6000 yards from the blue tees.
Nice conditions
Great
Layout and conditions but tee times need to be spread out 10 min not 8.
Waiting every shot and very slow pace
Atrocious Pace of Play
I had to leave after 14 holes because it was so backed up. Absolutely zero pace of play enforcement and tee times are booked way too close together. Spending 5-10 minutes at each tee box waiting for greens/fairways to clear is unacceptable.
