About
Big Met Golf Course boasts the title of being Ohio's most-played golf course. Since opening in 1926, it has hosted an impressive 6,000,000 rounds of golf. The course is nestled into the Rock River Valley along gently rolling hills. One of the course's defining features is the dike that helps to hold back the Rocky River, which can be viewed from several holes. Although the golf course as it exists now differs dramatically from the original layout thanks to numerous improvements over the years, including lengthening and remodeling the seventh and eighth holes, it has retained the same playability that has earned its reputation. Big Met Golf Course is not overly challenging but there are a few strategically placed bunkers and tricky rough areas, as well as a moderate amount of length.

Fall golf
Surprised to see how great a job they did with leaves and some of the colors were fantastic throughout the course. Greens putted true, Fall rates just started. Little Slow play, but 75° and sunny might’ve had something to do with that. Good job guys.
Great course, poor starters/management
Course itself is great place to play, good condition - only problem now a days is the Starters - we sat behind TWO TWOSOMES in front of us - played in 5 hours, was not enjoyable, waiting for 10 minutes on nearly every tee box - you better go there with a foursome and the expectation to never play in under 4 hours, let alone under 4.5 hours— was a complete joke and one of many reasons the private club membership is sounding enticing, the rangers there need to do more and the starters should not be letting two twosomes out back to back when there are a number of foursomes ahead of them
Big Met is top shelf
The course conditions at Big Met are very good. Greens roll true. Pace of play was excellent. Finished 18 in 4:10. Staff is friendly and on task.

Best Kept Secret
I have lived in CLE all my life and played Big Met when I was a lot younger. I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course and how reasonable it is to play this course. Moderate to easy the course is just what you need to fine-tune your game. The staff was friendly and professional, amenities were clean.
Taking a Knap
If you don’t mind waiting 10-15 minutes minimum on each tee box then this is the club for you.
Great Public Course
Very good conditions with a very friendly staff. Would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to enjoy a round of golf.
Nice course
Good course. Great staff. Greens roll nice. Fairways good. Not too tough. Pace of play could be quicker but that’s just about everywhere.
Nice Metroparks Course
The course is in pretty good shape for early season. Some soggy areas in spots in the rough but otherwise drained pretty well. Greens are in good shape too. Pace was just a bit on the slow side but hard to not expect that.
