Opened in 1916 as a nine-hole course, Fostoria Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in northwest Ohio. It has seen many changes over the years but through it all, the course has become one of the area's finest public venues, boasting some of the best greens you'll find in northwest Ohio. One of the biggest changes to the golf course occurred in 1971 when Ohio native Jack Kidwell redesigned and expanded the layout to a full 18 holes. The course will test you with strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, which include a meandering creek that cuts across three different fairways. The narrow, tree-lined fairways will further test your accuracy. Though Fostoria Golf Club dates back to the turn of the century, the amenities are completely modern, most notably the GPS-equipped golf carts that provide precise distance information.

Fun course with many different challenges
I really like playing here, there are a variety of different challenges. Well kept grass.. staff if always friendly

Fun course
Fun course in great shape try all 3 of their courses all very well kept at a good price
Pace of play
We had a five some in front of us with an infant in a car seat and a 3 year old. Caught them on 10, wouldn't let us play thru, 4 hr 40 minute round is to much. I love how the course has gotten better each time we play it. Course has to much play not to have a ranger.
well-kept
Bent grass fairways and greens in beautiful shape. Only drawback is the grain plant across road. Horrific stink, depending on wind direction. Still, a very nice tract.
FCC! Ya U Know Me!
Love this course. I’d play it everyday if I could. I’d like to see them make hole 12 a little easier and hole 1 a little harder. Other than that I have no complaints. Course is always well maintained and in good shape. Challenging yet not too difficult.—good for my skill level. Kinda feels like my home course. Definitely my favorite course to play in this area.

Nicely kept course
My wife and I love golfing at Fostoria CC. The club is over 100 years old and the course is beautiful and well kept. Fairways are kept closely trimmed leading up to the green. T boxes are well kept. Signs at each T boxes depict the layout of the fairway and hole with yardage at the markers. Ball cleaners at many of the holes. Trees and landscaping are beautiful. Watch out for the 12th hole, its a long dogleg to the right with a pond right in front of the green. Its a toughy! ;)
Stay out of the traps!
The fairways and greens were in great shape. That said, the speed of the greens was slow. The sand traps are terrible! The material appeared to be screening stone and they hadn't been worked up for some time and were very hard which made playing out of them difficult. I was only in three traps for the round but that was plenty for this review.
Course in great shape
Course always in nice condition....greens were very nice...weather was hot, but good day to be out
Hidden gem
Really enjoyed it from the staff at the counter to the last putt dropped. The course is in great shape for all the rain we’ve had this spring. I would highly recommend.
Good layout
Always in good shape and well-maintained. Good layout and you’re definitely not on top of each other. Not many hazards a fun course to shoot a good score on.
