Brentwood Golf Club
About
Brentwood Golf Club in Grafton may not look like much at first but as one of the best values in the area, it has become a local favorite. It's a short course at 5,148 yards from the back tees, making it an excellent layout for beginners especially since there is very little sand and hardly any water. Long hitters may be disappointed at the lack of long par 4s and par 5s but more advanced players will find that it's great for a quick, casual round. It's a gentle golf course that any player can tackle with confidence but the subtly tricky greens provide some challenges. The approaches require a bit of strategy and accuracy doesn't hurt either though it's a very forgiving layout. Brentwood Golf Club's greens are also known for being in consistently good condition.

Brentwood --Wet & CPO (this day 5/21)
First, it's hard to review golf courses at this time -- services not up to par yet, and the course saturated to the Max ( a ton of rains over the past week), but its just nice to get out & play. Brentwood is a short, tight course, gets plenty of play from Seniors & leagues, reasonably priced, convenient, and nice accommodating staff. This day was CPO & everybody knows what a pain that is for golfers, but certainly necessary. Crew was trying to cut roughs, fairways, fill in cart-path holes, and everything to ready for the season. I can't wait for courses to dry out --I need the rollouts & bunny-hops, and I will return to give even better reviews.
Brentwood is a good course for leisurely play. Back nine a bit tight so shot making is important. Will be back again
Fun Round
This was my first time playing this course and I enjoyed it. It is a short course (actual yardage is 5261) but it offers a variety of holes to keep it interesting. Greens are in good shape which offsets some patchy fairways. Front 9 was in better shape than back but overall I would play it again at a hot deal rate
Best greens I have played this year.
The course is in great condition right now. I would highly recommend..
Fun
Always a fun place to play a quick round. Greens are in as great of shape as ever
Great Value
Nice course overall. Recommend for any type of golfer.
Terribly kept course STAY AWAY
Dead grass all over like a cow pasture. No contrast between fairway and rough. Greens have fertilizer all over them. Couldn't find balls between the dead grass and weeds all over. Clubhouse is a joke. Whole place was a joke. Owner obviously doesn't invest back into his course just a money grab. Half the holes no signs. Poor layout. Doglegs look like they go the opposite way. Yardage is no way correct.
If your a decent golfer, " you can go low"
I play this course frequently and it's great. Driving range right at the clubhouse is too convenient. Show up a little early for a medium and kick your buddies but. Works like a charm. Conditions are consistently good.
Short
This course is not the toughest course. It doesn't have any long par 4's has very short par 5's and the longest par 3 is about 175 yards.
You do not need a driver on this course. Course managemt is definitely key here. I use irons off every par 5.
Course is pretty well kept, staff are friendly for the most part. The only thing that really annoys me there is that a couple of the groundsman don't respect players. I've been teeing off with a guy standing behind me blowing leaves whilst I'm trying to tee off. Pace of play can be very slow at times but It all depends on who's playing. It's not the toughest course and therefore attracts all types of golfers. ( we all have to start somewhere, although I believe management or starter should brief golfers before going out, saying if a group catches you and you are slowing play then allow them to play through.) I can play this course in 1hr45, I've had rounds take me 4 hours as a 4 ball infront of me would not let me ( a single ) play through. It's just rude.
This sounds like a negative review but it's not. On occasions where I've got there early I've had a great round and really enjoyed it. Greens are nice, fairways are pretty well kept, some of the tee boxes need a little work but it's great value for money. I will continue going there.
Course is beginner/intermediate difficulty
This course has some great difficulties to it and some very easy holes, close to home for me and a great place to go play or hit the driving range. Love playing at Brentwood. Staff is very friendly and the pro shop has everything you need if you forget something or need more balls and tees. One of the better courses around
