White/Blue at Ramblewood Country Club
About
Ramblewood Country Club is one of the Delaware Valley's must-play golf destinations. The club offers 27 holes of championship golf, which means there are three different 18-hole combinations to choose from. The holes are divided into the Red, White, and Blue nines. The White/Blue Course begins with one of the original nines. The front half of the golf course has large greens with subtle but tricky undulations. There are also strategically placed bunkers and water coming into play throughout. You can expect some challenging holes, including a few forced carries over water, but the course is tempered by forgiving fairways that have generous landing areas. The back nine is much tighter than the front with mature pine trees framing most of the holes. Course management is the key to doing well on Ramblewood's Blue nine.

poor condition of green
Very friendly staffs. Great value. Greens were aerated and very slow, unreliable. Overall decent course for regular play. Still play here again in the future.
Great place for Winter Golf
Although we had to play the white nine twice, we had a good time. Course condition wasn't bad at all for a December day. If it was open right now, I'd be there and it's a 2 hr drive for me.
Great course when its not busy
Normally this course is packed, but today it was colder than usual and I was able to play a really quick round. The grounds were well kept and the staff was friendly. The course is playable yet challenging for a person of my skill level (bogey). What I really like is the wide, forgiving fairways... so that the occasional mishit drive is still well in play, but the greens are very well guarded with sand traps, so you better keep it together on your approach.
excellent for the time of year,
Haven't played Ramblewood for a couple decades. Played with my son and we were both very impressed. Would go back in a heartbeat.
This 27 Hole Golf Course is Not Maintained Very Well.
I am a 2 Year Golfer, therefore having the chance to Play on a 27 hole Golf Course was great, because I want as much practice time as possible (3 separate Courses of 9 Holes each, [White, Blue, Red] ) . If you can catch a Discount Price then it is worth you playing on this Golf Course, Or if you are a Beginner, with not that much exprience. I found the Fairways to be Beaten Up, and Some of the Greens had Dents in them. Also since this was in October, I found a lot of Leaves and Cones all over the Golf Course, which made it diffucult to find your Ball. One Big thing that I found to be Really Distributing was that the Golf Course is Near Apartments and I saw with my Own Eyes, A Man with a Dog on the Golf Course, that Allowed his Dog to make "DOG FECES" right on the Golf Course. I could Not Believe this. This was on the Blue Course on Hole 5. I saw a person fishing on One of the Lakes on the Blue Course. While on the Red Course, I also saw some Dried up "DOG FECES. This was Unbelievable, Therefore, I would Only Play on this Golf course with a Great Discount (I paid Only $18 dollars) or if you are a Beginner Golfer. The Course is Not Very difficult to Play, therefore a Beginner Golfer with at least a year or two of experience can play here. It's a Shame, because this Golf Course can be Really Good, If the Club would just Manitain the Golf Course and Not allow people with Dogs anywhere Near the Golf Course. But, I guess if you Build a Golf Course Near Apartments, I am Not sure you can stop these sort of things from happening?.
the course great diversity
the course was in excellent condition being that it was late october
Friendly young polite staff.
Greens in good shape. Course pretty empty after outing.
27 hole to choose from
I have played this course at least 10 times over the last 2 years. Not bad shape for this time of year. Pace of play is still a problem however. This is no excuse that a foursome can't get around in 4 hrs if not better. We saw a ranger on the Red course, 8th hole scooping for golf balls, rather then doing his job for 10 minutes while we waited on the tee box waiting for the play to pick up the pace so we could tee off, very maddening.
Recommended, but with Caution
I always enjoy playing this course because with the 27 holes, there are many options and different experiences. However, at the current time the water damage we've had has greatly affected Ramblewood and the fairways are pretty beat up. I'd definitely play this course but I would caution anyone paying full price. Try to play twilight or on a hot deal. Otherwise, you're probably paying too much and not getting your money's worth.
course in bad shape
I should have known when the parking lot was empty at 9:00 am on a beautiful Saturday in August. The guy in the pro shop took $5 off the price due to "spotty fairways". That was an understatment. Some of the fairways were barely playable, and the first hole on red was a false green. Most holes, even in the fairway, it was tough finding a spot to even move my ball to for a lie that wasn't in mud. Just not fun when you struggle to find grass in the fairway.
Not Impressed...
The course has a nice layout, but was in terrible condition. It's actually sad to see what could be a really nice course in this type of condition. Friends and I drove from Philly to play here, not too far, and were really disappointed. The course condition was comparable to Philly public courses, but 3x as expensive.
Very poor course conditions
A buddy and I went after 4:00 on a Wednesday for $26. That's an astronomically low price. With that being said, it's still a bit of stretch to say we got a "bang for our buck". We had no problems with the staff, and the pace was fine. My biggest complaint was the course itself; everything from the fairways, to bunkers, to the greens were in bad conditions. There were patches (some pretty large) of dirt/hard mud throughout the course. Some spots were so bad it was impossible to hit off of, even though you would be in the fairway. Many of the bunkers were also filled with water. It's a shame because I've played the course plenty of times throughout the years and this was by far my worst experience.
Would I go back again? Not this year. Perhaps down the road. I've seen the course in 10x better shape before so I haven't given up all hope. But I'd never pay $50+ bucks to play Ramblewood, which is their rate for certain days and times. It would be "deal or bust" for me, personally.
Too wet.
Greens were good, which is most important in my book. July 5 review was right, course does not drain. Many puddles and overall very wet 2 days after last rain.
In Great shape
Course was in great shape and the greens ran true...golfers definitely take care of their ball marks.
Great value for the money.
Played White to Red courses. Both were in above average condition. Pace of play was terrific, no slow downs whatsoever. Sunday late morning a good time to play.
Good challenging course.
Course is in good shape. Sand traps could use some real sand though.
Great bang for the buck with golf now rates
Great time, everyone from pro shop to starter to club house personal were fantastic. Always a good time.
Well Kept and Welcoming
Staff was friendly and helpful and the course was in decent shape for this time of year. No complaints at all, but nothing extraordinary either.
Course still Wintered
Red to White, nice day. Moist conditions, but very playable. Greens not green yet, hard to read. The course was still hibernating. Yet, you can see how once it comes back to life, it will be good, as you would expect from Ramblewoods history.
I had great lies in the fairway, no complaints at all.
