Potter's Park Golf Course
About
The City of Hamilton offers two municipal courses, the championship Twin Run Golf Course and the regulation-length Potters Golf Course. They both provide some of the most affordable rounds in the area. Although Potters is the easier of the two courses, it's still a fun layout that has become a favorite with locals. It's ideal for beginners but also great for a quick round no matter what skill level. The back nine plays especially fast. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few strategically placed bunkers and subtle elevation changes to contend with. Potters Golf Course may not be the most challenging round you've ever played but the casual atmosphere and fun layout shouldn't be overlooked. It's also conveniently located less than an hour from both Cincinnati and Dayton.

Ehhhhh
Not a glamorous course. Definitely old layout and play style, but it was made in the early 1900's. It does seem it could use some fertilizer as the fairways and rough were not thick, but playable. Greens were uninventive, but worked. Trees and streets lined most of the holes. The clubhouse is in desperate need of renovation. I wouldn't play it again unless I got another hot deal on golfnow for under $15 for 18 and a cart. The course works for the budget golfer.
Old days Golf
Course was in excellent shape. You can set difficulty to your liking by choosing different tea boxes. The staff was outstanding, more than helpful and just wanted to talk to see how things were going. Just like days of old when the staff at a golf course appreciated your business.
She gone.
This course used to be a great place to play. The last 2 years it has changed dramatically. Fairways are patches of grass. Greens are not bad. Staff is always friendly, professional, and courteous. The City of Hamilton, however, has not maintained the course. Price has gone up. Stay away this year.
They let it go
Good luck. They have let this course go completely. Might as well shut it down for the rest of the year just to fix it.
Pace is terrible
If a single has to wait on 4 straight tee boxes for you to tee off maybe you should let them play through. Angry customer. Course was hokey and short Fairways were long. Greens were decent. Would not pay over $15 to play here. Buyer beware
Improved course
The staff has really worked hard to combat the wet weather conditions that the course has suffered recently. I last played in April and I know they were somewhat under water with all the rain. Today's game was dry and the course was beautiful.
Course conditions
Been golfing here for 15 years. The price has gone up about 6 dollars last 2 years. The course was in the worst shape I've ever had seen. Wont go back until they put money back into the course. Had fun cause I was with my friends....Plus the grill was not on and I was craving a hot dog.......My friends are the best. But we were missing one. He was having fun with other people. He hit The bandits trans am last week. OUT
Remember the old days?
I can still remember the old days when the fifth seventh and eighth holes all had giant oak trees guarding approach shots that weren't in the center of the green. Back then this course played a lot harder, although this is still a very technical course that requires accurate set up shot for low rounds. This is one of my very favorite municipal courses I will definitely be back.
Bad Experience
Took my son to this course and found it over booked, super busy with no starter to be found. We had to wait at least 20-30 minutes between holes because of the over booked and no spaces between groups. We ended up leaving after 9 holes as it took 3hrs to complete. Never comeback again -
Want money back
Rough Shap
Course is in very rough Shape. Fairways are burnt up with large dirt patches.
Very nice course, public ,but ran like a prvt course.,will come back and will recomend to friends ! shot 81 from the blues,,
Expensive for quality of course
Course is extremely short. Pace of play was very slow. As a twosome, took nearly 5.5 hours to complete the round. The course was in great shape. $36 was pricey and it was about 35 minute drive for me. I wouldn't pay more than $28 to play here
A nice challenge
I'm from Houston Texas and it's pretty flat so the changes in elevation was a special challenge for me. I enjoyed my round and will play here again when I'm in town.
good course
the course was in gr8 shape . Front 9 is good with good mix of holes and good lay out. Back 9 had chopped up lay out with a 210yd par 4 other than that ,a good course and value.
