Potter's Park Golf Course
About
The City of Hamilton offers two municipal courses, the championship Twin Run Golf Course and the regulation-length Potters Golf Course. They both provide some of the most affordable rounds in the area. Although Potters is the easier of the two courses, it's still a fun layout that has become a favorite with locals. It's ideal for beginners but also great for a quick round no matter what skill level. The back nine plays especially fast. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few strategically placed bunkers and subtle elevation changes to contend with. Potters Golf Course may not be the most challenging round you've ever played but the casual atmosphere and fun layout shouldn't be overlooked. It's also conveniently located less than an hour from both Cincinnati and Dayton.

Fall golfing, very few leaves in fairways or on greens.
This course is well maintained. The greens were fast but consistent. We golfed here in early fall and the fairways and greens were virtually free of fallen tree leaves. We have lost many balls in fairways of other courses during this time of year to leaves.
Well designed course
Potter Place is a good course that is well maintained.
Best value in Ohio.
I'm new to the area and have played five or six different courses in the area. I have to say my experience at Potters Park has been the best so far.
The course was in great shape.
I have played this course numerous times over the years and it is always in great shape.I would play there anytime.
Course was in great shape.
Great course. This a course where you have to make shots, not grip it and ripit.
Course was in good shape.
First time to play. Course in good shape. Was a little confusing about where the next holes were but enjoyed the course and it's challenges.
One of my favorite courses
I've been playing this course since i was 12. So Im a little biased as its my home course. Its actually in great condition compared to a lot of courses around the area right now. $31 was probably a little steep for the course but it was definitely a very enjoyable experience. we played the front nine in just over an hour and other than a little backup due to a scramble on the back nine the pace of play was great. The course is shorter but has some difficult par 3s. offers some tricky layouts and some tough greens but a very enjoyable course.
Good condition but watch out for the Senior Ladies Monday morning league
The staff were courteous. The course was in very good shape. BUT the pace of play was terrible. We were told that there was a Senior Ladies league that was about four holes ahead of us. "It shouldn't be a problem" Play came to a stand still at the third hole tee box. We were backed up four deep by the par three. Either the ranger should have intervened or they should have had us on the back nine and the league on the front nine. (the league only played the front nine) We played the back nine in 1 1/2 hours but it took over 5 hours to play 18. I will not play during Monday morning leagues again...
Great Short Course
Very fun and interesting course. Short par 4's with some of the most difficult par 3's I've ever played. The two par 5's on the front side are pretty much what you would think a standard par 5 length should be. Course was in wonderful shape including the greens and fairways especially. The keep the rough pretty short making it easier to find your ball. Love the smaller greens being an older course with some elevated. Overall a great course for the money, especially if you would like a change of pace and to boost your confidence a little big. Tons of wedge shots in on second shots, but don't let the length be deceiving. If you are not accurate off the tee and hitting into the greens you could very easily put up a high number. Would defiantly recommend this course.
always in great shape
Slow play on the day I played but understandable since High Schoolers were having try0uts.
Course could use better yardage marking-few markers and not very visable.
Well maintained public course
Unlike a number of courses in the Cinti area the bunkers were well maintained and the rough and fairways had a perfect cut.
This course was well maintained
Little on the short side but a fun course.good course to have a relaxing game
Great course / value for the price.
I grew up in Hamilton and this is the best I have seen this course in years. Still some drainage issues on #8 near the green but not near as much as I remember (use to have drainage issues on #'s 1, 3, 7 and 8 on the front and 11, 13, 14 int he back, but those seem to be fixed).
Very nice Muncipal Course
A real nice muny course. Well mantained, sand traps need some attention, they are more of a "dirt Trap" than sand. Played this course several times. Pace of play can be slow at times. The Marshalls do not enforce any pace of play which gets fustrating at times. However all employees are very friendly and the grounds crew does a remarkable job. Some of the toughest par 3's I've played.
Great for the money
We love this course for the money. It's near by and for $12-$20 it's a great value. Also don't forget about its sister course twin run which is a bit longer course.
Old School Fun Course
The short yardage for this course is deceiving. Many doglegs are tight without a shortcut. Greens are small with challenging breaks and are in great condition. The bunkers are the only shortcoming, many are rocky and muddy.
don't recommend
There were no yardage markers on the course. The greens had not been cut and were slow. The sand traps were just mud and rocks. I have never seen so many seniors playing on Sunday as this course. I guess firing the Smalls was a bad idea
Short yardage but interesting
This course may not meet the needs of "big hitters" but for the senior crowd I travel with it was an enjoyable play. The course was in good condition and played well even on the rainy day we were there. The par threes from the back tees proved to be very challenging.
course was in good shape but greens were a little long
Course was in good shape except the greens were a little long the price was excellent at times course was very challenging some elevation changes has some risk reward holes
