Twin Run Golf Course

About
Twin Run Golf Course is a municipal course in Hamilton, recognized for being the third best city in Ohio for golf, and one of the top 100 in the country. The course is popular for its affordable rates and the challenging but playable layout. At just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, it is not an overly long course but it offers some fairly difficult holes. The fairways are very player friendly though, providing some room for error, but accuracy should still be a priority. The layout is diverse enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It is not too intimidating for beginners but it's still a fun round for better players. Twin Run G.C. is known for being one of the area's best values, especially when you take into account the excellent conditions on the greens and fairways.

Hurry up and wait!
The course is in excellent condition but still notorious for slow play.. this is a continual problem. Great course but expect to play 5 plus hours for 18 holes.
Pace of play
Love the course but it took 1.5 hours to play the first 2 holes and over 6 hours to play a full round . There needs to be people hurrying people up. We had 2 2 sums in front of us that played equally slow and it made for a very long day
Always a challenging course that is experiencing some distress
Greens were good fairways were good the rough was very sparse and in many places bare.
Twin run
Everytime i play here the course gets better. Grounds crew is amazing
Always slow no Rangers on weekends
Was unaware of scramble going on prior to playing. The course became backed up with 6 groups waiting for scramblers to move to next tee instead of waiting for all scramblers to finish. Twin Run iis natorious for slow play. You would think that they would have Rangers especially on weekends. A lot of patience and time. Makes you hesitate making a tee time there!

Great Experience
Awesome experience. Never had a hold up in pacing, really good course conditions for hot dry late summer, only gripe (small one) was the course layout. Easy to lose your way going from hole to hole.
Slow play but nice day
Course was in great condition considering rain the night before. Still issues with slow play but part of the game at Twin Run
Bait and Switch = lost business
We, and another couple, have been coming to this golf course every Sunday afternoon (in the summers) for the past 2 years. It has been a good place to learn for me and challenging enough to keep the interest of the other golfers I was learning with. We live about 20 miles away and have many good golf courses near to us, but came here because of the rate (senior, after 3:00 $18.00) that was a great price and made it worth the trip. We had decided to expand our invitation to several other couples and start an impromptu regular Sunday outing. Imagine our surprise when we got there this time and the price had been jacked up $9.00 apiece! We were quite embarrassed by the additional cost when we had told our friends it would be under $20.00! No notice of increase was given when we called, and when we talked to the staff that day they were uncaring, basically saying they never had pricing that low and calling us liars, when we had just played there the week before for the $18.00 price -just rude. What could have been a good influx of business for Twin Run is now going to other golf courses! We will not be back with our crowd of people. The golf course is nice, but not near as nice as some of the less expensive ones closer to our area.
Customer courtesy
While arranging a reservation a few days before our golf date through Golf Now my foursome experienced poor customer courtesy on a day were there was a down pouring of rain on a constant basis. This course refuse to offer a rain check due to our scheduling of the tee time through Golf Now. We were the only golfers on the course and only played a few holes only because they wouldn't give us rain checks. They instructed us to take it up with Golf Now who had know real way to contact them. I, myself have worked for a golf course and know personally that the courtesy of the course durning down pouring of rain and lightning is to honor rain checks to customers who display a paid receipt. A little common since and customer courtesy would have gone a long way for repeat customers and referrals to potential customers in the future. As it stands we were unable to enjoy a round of golf which we payed for and the experience and personnel show little to know class. I would definitely not recommend this course to my many friends who enjoy a nice round of golf
Refused rain check
There was a steady downpour of rain at our tee time and golfers were leaving the course due to unplayable conditions. Twin Run refused to give our foursome a rain check because our tee time was booked on golfnow website. We were told to contact golfnow for a refund and golfnow would call the course to get verification of the conditions that the course would submit. After following the instructions from golfnow, I was unable to cancel due to weather as instructed. Called Twin Run back and explained the situation and was told that we'r would be given a reason check with no problem. The person transferred the call for the rain check and the person answering the call was very rude, unprofessional and adamant that we would not be recieving a rain check because we booked through golfnow. So, in conclusion, we paid, couldn't golf due to rain and were refused a rain check. Horrible customer service and relations.
