About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

Just terrible
Tee boxes have 4 kinds of grass including crab and all too long. Fairways and green burnt out or mud and dirt. Just awful for $69.
Rough Shape
The good news:
1- The greens fees are very reasonable.
2- I played at noon on a weekday and finished the whole round in three hours.
3- The layout of the course is interesting and includes lots of ups and downs, and turns. You will get to use a lot of different clubs in the bag.
The bad news:
1- I mentioned the lower greens fees above. This might be because the course itself is in rough condition. There are a number of holes that you cannot drive your golf cart because of the condition of the fairways. Some of the fairways are just fine. Also, some of the tea boxes are overgrown.
Some fairway and green issues
This was my first visit this year. I rated it 5 stars for the value because I got a GP hot deal. I used some points as well, so I paid just $9 out of pocket! They do not have a practice range, but there is one just a few miles away, so we went there first to get warmed up. It was the day after some heavy rain, so it was cart path only. After a bit the greens dried up and started getting faster. We just moved our balls accordingly to avoid patchy spots on the fairways and greens.
Will play again, but…
I really like this course and the price is usually right.
Many fairways and greens are burned out. The weather hasn’t been kind.
But I like the layout and will be back as soon as it recovers.
Great golf course layout, green fast and well maintained. However, fairways were NOT in very good condition. You can see SO many positive improvements, very friendly staff , clubhouse clean and had a good selection of drinks, snacks and sandwiches.
Great Course
Course was great, but the greens and fairway conditions were in rough shape... the staff was actively working on it though...
I would wait a bit to play this course until they can repair the greens and the fairways have time to heal up from the rain.

Course was in excellent condition and the pace was perfect. Friendly staff. I’ll come back again
