Excellent staff and cost
Austin was absolutely wonderful assisting me with an online Golfnow issue. Everything was great overall. The one area that could use improvement is the maintenance of the greens on the Blue course. I'll definitely be back..
poor course
course has 36 holes but there is absolutely no signs or anything telling you where to go or hit from. numerous tee boxes next to each other a few times we had to just guess. there is also no markers for yardage besides 100 yard sticks in the fairway. and 7 out of 9 of those were wrong. will not play this course again.
Progress is obvious
The course has been making excellent progress and it is evident this year. I can only hope that it continues and becomes the quality course that it was many many years ago.An excellent management team is making the difference.
Improving
Been playing here for 4-5 years. A lot of work going on here especially on the Blue course. Amenities are coming or have come back. In a year or so should be much improved. Fairways are underway for some repairs now.
Need a ranger
Great course. It’s a great layout with some tough and easy holes throughout both the red course and blue course. My only drawback is the lack of course supervision. No ranger to be found and no on course beverage cart.
Coming back
This course was in terrible shape for years. New management is putting some cash into it and it shows. Bridge repairs. Draining poorly drained areas of the course. Is it back to the once terrific course it once was, no, but it won’t be long. Highland Blue is a true links course. You do not make a turn at the pro shop. There was no beverage cart girl and it was an 85 degree day. Had to ration my water on the last 9 holes. They need to do something about that.
Overall
Good course layout, clear, and money worth, recommending for other golfers to play this course.

Worst round possible
Between the construction vehicles on course with the backup beeping, blowers and mowers on every hole and chainsaws being used there was no way you could concentrate on your game.
We made the turn and should have had no one in front of us but to our surprise a threesome of very old gentlemen were teeing off so we ended up waiting on every hole on the back.
For all the time they were spending blowing off the fairways they should have been spending time fixing their terrible greens.
Overall Good Course
The blue course is great for beginners, nice wide fairways and semi easy greens. Definitely recommend playing at Highland!
highland park
the course was a little rough around the edges but is challenging and the greens are nice but a couple have burnt out grass spots. was told a new owner is in who will be putting a ton of money into it? good. be careful with carts or even walking. the rough and cart paths have pot holes and are anything but smooth. if I lived closer I would play this all the time. good bargain.
