Stonewater gives you all the private/country club amenities that you need to have a successful round.
Stone Water did not disappoint
My son and I only played nine as we had played 18 earlier in the day at Fowler’s Mill, but we’d both love to play here again. Stone Water is a challenging course with some pretty fun holes. Pro style greens for sure. Conditions were good. We loved the course and will go back for sure.
Way overpriced
This course is great do not get me wrong. The amenities and layout are amazing. But to pay $90 on a weekend in cleveland Ohio for a 8-10th best public course in cleveland is crazy. I’ve played a couple of time and think it should be closer to $60. Bunkers are a mess. Greens are okay, cart path is beat up and the tee boxes are just okay. I think they should either go full private or open it up more to the public at $60-$65 a round. Definitely not worth $95 after tax with other amazing courses around.
Awesome experience!
Had the pleasure of playing Stonewater for the first time this past weekend, incredible facility! Staff was all awesome and super friendly, easily can tell they love being there as much as i did! Facility was in perfect shape from the range, putting green and chipping area, to the course as a whole. Challenging course, but i will be back soon for revenge! Lol - Everything about this place from the staff to the facility was top notch. Pace of play was not perfect, maybe 10-15 mins behind pace but no big deal at all, especially for being a busy saturday. Great experience and happy to learn they do tons of clinics and coaching here as well.
Looks like an awesome place to be a member of some day with all the activities they had going on with music, food trucks, just an awesome vibe overall. Shoutout to Coach Joe Meglen, you are the man! Incredible coach if you ever need lessons as well - Excited to join a short game clinic soon with him and will definitely be back to play this challenging but very well kept course and facility - Keep up the great work!
Sub Par
Been playing this course for about 7 years now.
Today 75$ 18/cart teed off at 10:30.
Save your money and play ANYWHERE else. This is the 4th course I’ve played in 10 days. Most expensive and worst course conditions. The Tee boxes are beat up, decent fairways. Rough is terrible. You can’t find your ball 3 feet off the fairway. Bunkers are lacking sand. Your either ruining your club or hurting yourself. Greens are in bad shape too. This golf course used to be one of the nicer tracks in NE Ohio. Unfortunately, its priorities are now weddings & outings.
Value not there for the condition
I’ve heard a lot about this course and I guess my expectations were extremely high for a semi-private course. I literally repaired over 10 ball marks on the first green. Greens were punched and sandy and fairways were in poor condition. Lots of eroded areas and ares in need of repair and seeding. If I were a member here I’d be furious. Really nice layout and facilities. My expectations may have been too high based on the price and the fact it was semi-private.
Rude, overpriced
I’ve played here a fee times, but never again. Every single time the staff gets ruder. The starter refused to let us go to the first tee on time, he had everything about 7 minutes slow. Then he yelled at us to get to the tee box. We tried to go down the wrong side of the path. OH NO!!!!! This was after my entire group tipped him for putting our bags on our cart, which we didnt ask for. I don’t expect my tiny tips to control a human being or buy me a good experience, but this guy was so rude. I couldnt believe anyone would have him interact with guests. And he was doing his job poorly. The tee times were completely messed up and we tried to resolve it and got yelled at. The first time we played here, the starter yelled at us for moving some of the “members balls” off the chipping green. It had about 35000 laying everywhere making yhe surface unusable. The course isnt even that nice at all. Tightly packed in a neighborhood. It maybe used to be in better condition, but not any better than a muni course. Really unprofessional and really unwelcoming and the gold certainly does not make up for it. I can see why its going downhill. Never again.
Rough
Beautiful track, scenic holes, lots of water and sand.
But, not enjoyable, the greens and fairways were aerated. The rough was like the U.S. open was being played there. Don't think it was cut this year?? For $62.00 I can go to much better courses.
We won't be back.
Terrible conditions!!
The fairways were recently aerated, and the greens are still not healed from aeration that occurred three weeks ago. The entire fairway had aeration plugs so no roll at all. Due to four days straight of rain the rough has not been cut, and you can easily lose a ball, if not standing on top of it. Cartpath only also did not help pace of play.
The greens are rolling inconsistent, this course needs at least 2 to 3 weeks to heal. I would highly recommend NOT playing this course, especially for over $50.
Indoor help, preoccupied.
Pace of play was excellent but no one was playing…
Layout was forgiving on some holes, not on others.
Staff was friendly
I enjoyed my round, but the greens were top dressed which made putting a little challenging. Otherwise a nice course for the money.
Great Course during peak season
The course was certainly not in its peak form as the weather has still been funky in Ohio, but always a great place to play, grab a drink with a friend, and eat.
Lay out very good and practice range superb
Big recommandation and easy to play in 4Hours and 45 minutes.
Great staff and nice site
