Grateful For The Opportunity
I normally would not play here but it was on the way to a vacation destination. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the quality of the course, the challenging nature and the beauty. The staff was very nice and went out of their way to accomodate. The lunch packages were good and the operator was very pleasant.

Decent course
There was an hour frost delay and my group started about 45 min after our original tee time. First time playing here and thought it was decent. Some fairways were pretty beat up but mostly in good condition, greens were generally good too only couple had sandy spots. There is a lot of geese on the course, more than I've ever seen at other courses. Would come back and play.

Course was fine, but in no rush to come back.
Course was playable and fine well from hole to hole. Fairways and greens were pretty inconsistent though, in terms of condition. Some greens were patchy with sand and dry grass, some fairways were muddy and riddled with geese droppings (which I know is no ones fault per say). Before even making it to the 2nd tee box I had two less than friendly interactions with the course ranger. It was gorgeous weather and I played well so it was fun, for what it’s worth, but I’m certainly not in a rush to go back.

Greens on back nine in horrible shape, presumably because of effect of hot summer and heavy rain. Still, fun holes, and sufficient challenges. Not in greatest shape, but, nevertheless, a fun afternoon.

Awful shape
Course was cheap at a hot dea for middle of the day. Course was awful huge patches of dirt fairways were unplayable at certain points. Use to be in great shape a couple of years ago but it’s gone down hill quickly o guess and I won’t be back

Putting on Sand Dunes
Course conditions were really rough. Need some serious watering and maintenance.

Beautiful Course
Love this course! plenty of water hazards through out the course which makes it challenging. some of the greens need help but over all in good condition.

Greens are horrible. Course is dry. Hadn’t played there in years. Won’t play for a long time.

Grumpy staff, poor management, bad value for money
Without any warning before booking, we ended up paying $50+ per person for rude employees and starter, sand all over every green (and they kept dumping more sand during play), and had to play front 9 nine twice. And that was the price for walking.
Again, no warnings before booking.
I know it’s a county course and the bar is low, but this was eye opening.

Back 9 needs love.
Lady at check it upon arriving just blankly said “What time?” No hello or anything. Not super welcoming.
Back 9 greens were wasting away with some serious disease. Huge seirt patches.

Many holes in awful condition
Feel like Valley Brook has been in worse condition each year that the county has had it unfortunately. I don't think they really know what they are doing. Hadn't rained in days and has been very hot, yet 1/2 the holes were soggy and under water? How about you water it less?????
Many fairways and greens just in unacceptable shape even for a muni course. 12 seemed like there is sewage leaking in the "fairway", 13 looks like a parody account green (and was shut down all last year for a temp), and 14 also in awful shape as usual.
The county top to bottom should be ashamed how they handle the courses and management top to bottom, especially for one of the weather counties in the country!!

Crappy Course (Literally)
Course was in horrible condition. Geese were all over the place and the fairways were covered in goose crap. It's a shame how downhill this course has gone since becoming county owned. Seems like not a single dollar is being invested in maintenance.
