it had rained the day before. this course does not drain quickly, even some of the tees were soggy.
i would rate the greens slightly below average.
The course was in very good shape. The pace of play was excellent. A ranger did ask us if the group in front of us was moving quick enough. They were. Always an enjoyable round

Valley Brook
I don’t know if the excessive amount of rain lately or the hurricane but the course is not up to it’s usual standards. While most of the greens, some pretty challenging, and fairway are in good to excellent a number are in poor to very poor condition. The staff are terrific and very helpful. Due to the virus the of course amenities are not currently available. Rate of ply was very good. A little over 3 and a half hours for 18 holes. Even in it’s less than ideal condition I would still recommend playing this course.

Conditions were horrible
Greens were destroyed. There was gravel all over one of the greens making it impossible to putt. The worst course conditions I ever played in, not to mention geese feces on the fairways and tee box.

some fairways grey
It has been a hot and wet summer. Some fairways were not in good shape but didnt stop you from playing them and have a good round for 50 dollars. Everyone very friendly and played in 3:30.

Terrible
I cannot believe how they let this nice little track turn to crap......the greens are destroyed....its a burnt up dump now.....unbelievable, difference from when I played it 3 months ago. Pristine 3 months ago. Now its a dump

Goose poop on the greens, can’t put. Staff sucked besides the ranger. Don’t go. Ever

Terrible Conditions
Played almost all local courses - this place is a disaster. Many greens are fried, goose crap everywhere and 11th fairway has sprinkler leak and smells like sewage. Go to Darlington.

NO RANGERS KEEPING PACE OF PLAY
There were multiple groups holding up everyone. I tried calling the club house to send a ranger out but it had a busy signal. There were some staff members driving around but they did not address the issues. On two holes a complete sprinkler was on so I could not hit off the tee box. I do not recommend amateurs playing here because there were a lot of tight holes and trees. Not worth the money at all.

AVOID!
Burnt out greens, standing water that smells, goose droppings everywhere, flat boring layout.
There is literally no reason to come to this course. Had to use the restroom when I arrived and I was directed to a port-o-potty which they said was because of covid safety. It was 95 degrees out and the potty hadn't been cleaned in several days...you get the picture?
Then we arrive to teebox and are approached by an elderly gentleman with no mask and wants us to sign out the golf cart with his pencil??? You shouldn't have this man unprotected approach your guests and use a community pencil.
If you are into a boring course that has a very distinct odor and constantly battle goose droppings in the fairway and greens, this course is for you.

The course is in fantastic shape from tee boss to the greens, including the rough is well maintained and free of. Debri. The course can be played walking or riding which is a plus because some courses are impossible to walk at any age and Valley b.rook gives you the I
Option in those days where you want a little expertise. Off Course amenities such a toilet availability are not in placed but I’m sure after the COVID situation subsides that will improve.
