One of my favorites
Pitman is a very nice municipal course. Very well maintained and easy to walk. Mostly flat, with a few ponds to clear to the green, its great for the recreational or beginner golfer. Gloucester County residents can buy a discount card, for cheaper rates, and even find lower rates on GolfNnow.com. Its a favorite of mine because its a great course for a low price. Well worth playing.
Very nice course.
The course is in very nice shape, good pace of play and the staff is very friendly. Great value.
great course
for early in year course was in real good shape would and will play again ,people friendly also
Good Value
Pitman is an average difficulty course which offers good value for the money if you can get a GolfNow.com rate. The staff isn't the friendliest in the world but I always enjoy playing there. The course is in good shape for this time of the year with minimal seasonal impacts (only one temp green and a few temp tee boxes).
The course was well maintain, but....
The course is a very well maintain course and kind of challenging, well it's no Cobbs, when it comes to course difficulty but to be honest , not to many courses are. With that being said, the course is in badly need of Rangers because the speed is way to slow and because of that reason I may question where to put it on my list when looking for a course to play again. The waiting to hit, really can take the fun out of the game.
good course
course in good shape - went around fairly quickly - price was ok
This course is in good condition year round
I played this course on New Years Day. The course was in great shape, it was challenging, and the staff were great.
Nicely maintained course. Friendly, helpful staff.
I played on a Friday at noon. I was allowed to begin earlier than my schduled start and play was pretty smooth for the most part. The back nine had some hold up on play time that could have been moved along better, but overall it was an enjoyable outing. I look forward to playing there again and would recommend this course to anyone.
fairways need some work
decent course for the money, green are in good shape for this time of year
Great course if you're as new to the game as me!
I wasnt expecting much after reading some of the reviews of my fellow golfers, but I found a lot of the complaints were unfounded. The fairways were in good shape and the tee boxes, although a bit sparse, had been reseeded and look well on their way to being repaired. VERY wide open fairways greet you at most holes, which is nice for someone like me who tends to have a wicked slice. I wasnt without its challenges, particularly the par 3's. Water played into 4 or 5 holes. The only drawback of the course is how short the course seems to be. (420 yrd par 5?) The staff I came in contact with seemed genuinely hopeful that my son and I had an enjoyable round. I don't think I'd play there for full price, but with a deal from GolfNow, well worth it!
Course was in very good shape especially for the season. Clean and very well kept
Great course to play. In great shape especially for this late in the season. Great mix of par 3, 4, and 5s. Wide open for novice players as well.
Absolutely gorgeous course, great staff !
My son and I played the course for the first time, it is by far the best conditioned course we have played this year. Challenging enough for our ability and very enjoyable. With Golf now, it is the best value out there.
Unbelievable Value!!!
Course was in very good shape, almost pristine, what would have been a fine deal at $48, was incredible at $23 through GolfNow! Greens were immaculate. But, a short course with about 7 holes that are just too easy with nothing to write home about. Some interesting doglegs and reachable par 5s. Great value.
Greens in OK shape & very slow
A lot of crabgrass and bald dirt areas in the fairways. Greens are very slow, but in ok shape other than speed. Too costly for type and conditions of course.
Very niece course
The course is a challenging course but still fun for novice golfer
Horrible Conditions
The tee boxes had no grass on them..the fairways were patchy crab grass..the greens were chewed up..Will not play this course again until I hear that they cleaned it up..for the price there are way better courses to choose..
Horrible condition
I was extremely disappointed with this course. I booked the course on Golf Now and upon my arrival I unfortunately was informed that the back 9 was shut down due to air raiding the greens. I was also charged 12 dollars for my 5 year old son who just likes to go out with his dad. I expressed my displeasure with the course policy as well as being charged 47 dollars total for half of a course. Upon my expression of displeasure and about to pay regardless, I was told "you seem displeased and you are more than welcome to play somewhere else." I was irate but my son was standing next to me and instead of making a scene, I chose to take my son out and spend quality time with him, despite being treated rudely and unappreciated. I wish I could say my displeasure ended as I walked out of the club house but as we started to play the front 9 only, I was putting on sand and the entire front 9 was in horrendous shape. Bottom line, given the combination of poor course conditions and poor management, I will never play Pittman again!
Ok course but not a good value.
The course needs a little work and the price seemed a little high for what you were getting.
