Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

WORST COURSE IN NJ
THE WORST COURSE IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. 1030 tee time on a Saturday in April. starter is in outerspace proly zooted off a who knows—- short stubby member wearing timberlands on the course(27 HC proly) throws a fit because his group of 17 members from the special Olympics also has 1030 booked. Starter has no record of our 1030 tee time. Don’t tee off until 11am bc the 17 special needs members continue to cut us off(no1 under a 26HC 5 carts for one foursome playing 3 different tees, they didn’t hit a fairway all day). Kensignton ave sidewalk has better fairways and tee boxes- no bunkers just rocks for around the green. 6.5 hour round - wouldn’t play here for free if tiger woods let me be his driver for 5 years. course should be disowned. Greens more chewed than 2 tins of peach Skoal. Shouts divots bartender for the mickys bucket.
Pace of play
We played 18 holes in 4 hours and 20 minutes. Which I thought was pretty good pace, because half the holes were cart path only. According to the GPS we were 1 minute off pace. Around hole 15 the starter/ranger told us we needed to pick up our pace, because we were two holes behind the group in front of I’d. However , were a foursome and they were a threesome. The problem was they ran out of carts and wanted us to rush, because they overbooked.
0/10 Stay away if possible
There’s a reason for being able to play here when other courses are full, no maintenance on conditions in over 5 years, carts weren’t available for our tee time so had to tee off late and then were told we were behind the group in front of us when we couldn’t tee off waiting for carts. Miserable staff because they know they work for a dump. Course layout has potential but not under current conditions. Needs new ownership.
Monday at Wedgwood
Nice day to play that was cool and breezy. Some of the course was still getting mowed when we started. The carts have the annoying border software (Pro Shop driven) limiting access if the Course seems particularly wet. Our playing partners cart got stuck a couple times while, for some reason, my cart displayed a warning but kept running. That was awesome. I didn’t abuse it and I kept more than 50 yards away from any green.
As for amenities, we weren’t into hotdogs so we went down the street for lunch.
Yes, it was worth the drive and money.
A bit overpriced for what you get
The best part about this course is that you can usually get a tee time. Greens are in reasonable condition but very little maintenance on the rest of the course. Tee boxes are torn up and mostly not flat. Fairways have alot of bare spots and hard pack. Probably a bit overpriced for what you get
Should be Better
The bones are there, but owners/management aren't interested in the effort to maintain the course to what it could be, winter was hard in the area, no overseeding was done in the fall and bare spots are plenty, as in the past the course will have bare maintenance going forward and people will play here because Scotland Run is private and others won't travel, only play here 2-3 times a year because of a hot deal, in the summer stay away.
St. Patrick
Great layout, but dont get the carts shutting off when driving on rough out of bounds areas and then complain about pace of play.
Told us walking only after paying , no email text or update until paid and the course was obviously cart path only worthy !
Love the front 9
Front 9 was a great layout. Greens were great, some holes people just didn’t want to fix their ball marks. Back 9 was ok. Very narrow and just straight shot to holes, most of the holes were cart path only even though they were par 4s and par 5s?? very interesting when it was dry with no rain for days. If they had a layout like the front 9 similar to the back 9 i would have loved it. But great course for a great hot deal price, you can’t beat it.
Solid course
Course was pretty solid. Used a golfpass discount and tee time discount and got it for $40. Most id personally pay to play here is $55. Course was in good condition considering its the fall and we just had a ton of rain the day before. Fun course layout with challenging par 3s and open par 5s. Only big issue for me was the pro shop guy. Dude seemed like he hated everyone and everything. Super bland and practically passive aggressive when he spoke to us. Other than that place is pretty solid. 7/10
First time
Enjoyed playing alone for the first time. no issues with my tee time, Actually had a group of 4 walking catch me. So the pace is good, will play again.
