fun course, the back nine is different but challenging
Played solo in 2 hrs. They course was in great shape the day I played. Its a short fun little course. The back nine is a little crazy, you need to get your yardages to doglegs right or you are screwed. Short holes on the for make fore lower scores, but the back's doglegs will eat you up unless you hit to the right distance, which makes it a fun change (you can't just blast your shots out there).
Great play for a great price
Have played here more this year than in years past. The course is kept well the staff is friendly and have never been held up on a whole! My favorite hole is 8. They did a great remodel of it. The back 9 can be a little tricky. The burgers are an AMAZING end to a solid round of golf.
Nice little course
The front 9 is pretty open and what you see is what you get. THe back nine has some tougher holes and the goofy "Z" hole par 5. You can keep you driver in the bag on the back nine if you are a longer hitter. The entire course is short but I always enjoy playing there. The greens were in nice shape. And teeing off at 7:55 was great because we were the first guys out and played under 3 hours.
Could be Better
I played this course a few years ago. The conditionwas better then. The tee boxes are crowned terribly and are very bare. The stances and footing were very frustrating.
The course layout is equally as frustrating do to the lack of information about the layout. The drawing of the course is very small and no markers about blind shots created an unpleasant experience.
A few enhancements and work to improve conditions would make this course live up to the hype of yesteryear.
a little sloppy
course needed leaf clean up real bad , kinda sucks when your drive is right down the middle and you still cant find your ball.
This course has something for everyone............
Love this course. Tee boxes are nice and the greens are very challenging. Very fast greens for the most part. Front nine is just a fun moderate course that gets you warmed up for the back nine lol. The back nine is a different story. Very challenging on most of the holes. You have to think about your second and third shot if you want to have a chance of a par. Some nice water holes and great bootlegs. Can't wait to get back again.
Some really unique holes on this one!
From easy to quite difficult, this course has something for everyone. You must be accurate on several holes otherwise be sure you have a good supply of golf balls. The course itself was in very good condition, particularly the greens. Surroundings were also quite pleasant. The "hot deal" price was a real steal!
Fun course to play.
Nice course to play. Front nine you can score low on. The back nine you need good distance control on your clubs or else a par turns into a snowman. Most of the course was in great condition except for some bare spots on a couple of the greens. Traps were taken care of as were the fairways. Friendly staff with great food and a small pro-shop. Come back every year to play this course at least once.
Fun course poor tee boxes.
Course was in good conditions minus the tee boxes, they were a little chopped up. Other than that it was a good and fun course. Back 9 has some fun holes that require less than driver.
Nice Course for the Money.
First time I played the course, had a great time, and the value was a great deal. Some unusual and challenging holes. will come back again.
A little slow for the first five holes. They need more attention to moving players along
The course is moderately challenging. I do enjoy some of the greens and the fariways are nice.
Nice course
I like this place. The only drawback is sometimes it is too crowded. Near my house and I play the course a lot.
Great value
Course is in very good-to-excellent condition. Course is a very playable lay-out; especially the front nine. Excellent for walking. Staff is very courteous.
good course good value.
The course was in pretty good condition. The fairways were freshly mowed and the greens were very good, medium speed.
Everyone was very friendly and a nice clubhouse. The weather could have been a lot better.
Narrow, blind shots, and fast greens.
If you want to shoot well here bring your gps. Many tee shots are blind shots. And the greens are not always visible from the fairway. Trees are abundant and errant shots will find them. A good piece of advice would be to club down and play for accuracy. Length is needed on only a few holes. The greens are receptive but firm. Putts will roll out on these speedy, well manicured greens. Good luck.
This course is fun watch the back nine....
Had fun only thing not good was the weather 43' but that's not on the course back nine small but very Challenging.
Watch out for leagues
We teed off at 3PM and played the front 9 in under 2 hours, but when we went to make the turn leagues were already lined up at both the 1st and 10th holes. The starter instructed us to drive ahead to the 14th and play 10-13 on our way back. Unfortunately, after playing 14-18 there was a women's league teeing off and waiting so we had to call the round short. Overall the course played well, but if you are playing 18 I wouldn't pay for a tee time after 2PM unless you want to wait around on your back 9
Too many dog legs on the back 9.
Was only able to take out the drive 3 times on the back 9. Felt like mini golf on a large scale.
Back 9 is really challenging
I've played this course before for the NOPGA junior tour some years ago but I forgot how HARD the back side was. You have to have precise shots on almost every hole. It's not bad but if you don't shoot well you'll do worse than my +12 (83)
Average course with slow pace of play.
Average course with slow pace of play. Greens were good. Local hangout with no drinking water or water fountain.
With the winter and the wet weather I will give the course a pass for having some crowning on the tees. Haven't played any courses this year that haven't had that problem yet, Raccoon Hill is not an exception. I totally agree that there needs to be better markers to doglegs on the back, makes it much harder for players less familiar with the course.
