About
Fox Hollow Golf Course in Somerville sprawls across acres of rolling woodlands, offering dramatic elevation changes throughout the par-70 layout. Designed by local designer Hal Purdy, the abundant trees and hilly terrain have been deftly incorporated into the course. Originally built in 1967, the golf course was completely redesigned in 2000 to make it more challenging while at the same time improving its playability. Since its renovation, it has garnered a local following but it is still one of the better kept secrets of Somerset County, making it likely that golfers will be able to play the golf course regardless of the day or time. In addition to the course, there is also a practice facility with a grass driving range, a bunkered practice green, and an expansive putting green. One reason Fox Hollow G.C. is a popular choice, besides the enjoyable layout, is the affordability it offers.

Not worth the time or money. Better, cheaper places available
Where to start...when the golf carts are the highlight of the round, you know its not worth the playing again.
Driving range is small, 5 mat stations and 5 grass stations except the grass stations were infested with hornets.
Pace of play was beyond.slow. played as a threescore that took over 5 hours to play 18. Had to wait on several holes at both the tee boxes and fairways. When we did see the marshal he was more concerned if we had our own beers??
Greens are unkept and in rough shape. Some had hornet activity, dead patches or just lumpy.
Bottom line,, save your money and time - not worth the cost or time. Tons of better places in the area.

The tee boxes where ok . Fairways and greens where amazing. Rough was really thick. If you decide to play bring a lot of water and a ton patience.the pace of play is an absolute disaster waited on every single shot on every single hole this should never happen.. 4 hours 40 with a 9:00 time . And I said something the told me it’s a Sunday. I play in Mercer county and it a 4 hour round . Also no cart girl in 95 degree heat. The staff . The ranger and the guy from the desk acted like complete dicks to me when I said how slow it was.be ready and be patient if you play there.

We are sorry that the round was not up to your expectations. Other reviews of the greens and turf conditions have been excellent. Following this year's bumper crop of cicadas there is now a ton of "cicada killer" wasps that we have sprayed for. Since we have a liquor license, regulations don't allow BYOB, but I'll make sure the staff handles that more diplomatically. Lastly, we patrol for pace of play every day and our pace was 4 hours for most of this past weekend. We will try to ensure that we stay on top of that. Thanks for coming out and we hope that we can serve you again and that you will have a better experience.
