The View Golf Club
About
Carved from acres of rolling countryside, The View Golf Club (formerly known as Valley View Golf Club) blends seamlessly into its surroundings. The scenic setting has led to the club being known simply as "The View" amongst locals. It has been a standby for the area's golfers for more than 55 years. The hilly terrain provides some interesting slopes throughout the golf course. The watered, fairways are generously sized, but they are lined with mature trees so they still demand a fair amount of accuracy. The medium-sized greens are undulating and vary in speed from medium to fast. The golf course has an ideal combination of challenges balanced with more forgiving features that appeals to a variety of different skill levels. Both beginners and more experienced players looking for a casual round will enjoy The View Golf Club.

Course is in very good shape!
This course has some of the nicest grass of any around our area...The greens are large and are fast. My husband and I played two days straight and enjoyed each round very much. The weather was nice for Fall . The leaves were a problem the first day we played but the second day they were pretty much cleaned up. I would tell anyone to try this course....very enjoyable.
Decent course...great people
I play in our league at Valley View and have always enjoyed the course And the people running the place...friendly & accommodating. I don't usually play weekends because of price & pace of play. However, I got a great rate via GN and decided to go out. As suspected, it was really slow which is difficult to take when you're used to sub-4 hr rounds.
Nice Course, Slow Play
Outside of the not so friendly staff and the slowest round of golf I've ever played, the course is pretty nice.
The conditions of the fairways, greens, and tee boxes were fantastic.
The cart paths were pretty much nonexistent and rough when they did exist.
Too many golfers walking the course. It took right around 3.5 hours to play the front 9 in a two-some. The 8th hole in particular took in the ballpark of a half an hour because of the walking group in front of us looking for lost balls and playing provisional shots.
Course is in excellent condition and greens are fast.
Challenging but fair course. Excellent scenery! Course well maintained and cut.
Not bad for 10 bucks
The only reason I played this course was the fact that it was only 10 dollars with the golfnow app. I was pleasantly surprised to find a course in very good condition, true rolling greens, and a nice level of difficulty. Only complaint was how crowded it was for a weekday afternoon.
VV is a tough challenge for any golfer right now
I have played Valley View for 10+ years and it has helped improve my game a lot. The course plays challenging this time of year with the ground starting to harden up a bit. Greens roll true and are pretty quick. Very fair course that you can score on if you hit the ball well. I would highly recommend giving the course a try if you have not already.
Great place to spend a Saturday
Excellent value , greens in good shape. Lots of nice scenery and elevation changes. Will be back !!
One of Fairfield County's finest
I have been playing this course for about 10 years now and would highly recommend this course to visitors or anyone looking for a challenging experience. A+
Valley View 8/9/14
Very pleasant 4 hour round on one of my favorite courses in Central Ohio. Greens were in great shape.
Awful
The great deal on golfnow got my attention. I have played a lot of dog tracks in my time, but valley view tops all others. If someone told me this is the only course I can play, I would quit the game...awful experience!
Hilly, unique layout
This course will force you to play different types of lies - uphill, downhill, sidehill..some can be fairly extreme even following good golf shots.
Generally does have wide fairways and good sized greens which are very nice in comparison to the overall course condition.
For $23 w/ cart, a nice change of pace. I was aggravated by the 3 foursomes teeing off in the 15 min leading up to my tee-time. The Super offered to let me tee off #12 at least. Still..nobody let me through and pace of play was 4.5hrs. Why make a tee time? I'd go back though
valley view July 1
course was in excellent shape well maintained and green in excellent shape
Review green/pin location and hole prior to hitting. Little confusion between holes a couple of times because I assumed adjacent hole was next to play
course was in awesome shape. Fairways mowed for great lies (when I hit fairways !). Greens were best I've played this season. Cart was new Yamaha and real nice' Staff very professional and courteous. Food was tasty and with good variety of selection. Pro shop had some good deals and there was a club service/repair area. Not much traffic for a weekend. This is definitely a Jewell among courses. Awesome views too.
Nice course
A challenging, well maintained course with friendly staff that was a bargin at the discounted rate, give it a try.
Great hidden gem
I am new to playing the courses in the Lancaster area, but have been making my rounds.
When I saw this course was halfway between a couple I had played, but other people in the area hadn't even mentioned it to me, I was hesitant.
It was a great course. It was a slightly wet morning so I wasn't that surprised when I showed up at 8:15 and was the first player out. The next player teed off when I hit about the 5th hole.
No one was on the back 9 when I made my way back there, either.
Fun course
Great greens, although they were firm. Confusing layout. Need some signs to next hole in a few places.If you like hills, this is the place. Will play again.
Nice Course
This course is a good course .Lots of hills ,has some blind fairways,course management helps a lot. Might not be the place for beginners.
Gourse has a great view,
* Good conditions
* Greens in good condition
* Amasing view and landscaping
* Traps well maintained
* Layout somwhat confusing for first timers
Beautiful, challenging course
Love valley view. It's one of my favorite courses in the southeastern Ohio area. For the money, you can't beat it
