Beautiful course
Beautiful course and course conditions for it being early in the year.
This Course is Awesome!
I’ve played golf for less than 2 years. This was my 2nd time playing 18 at Powderhorn, i shot my best round ever!! They definitely have some hills, a lot of my shots my feet were above or below the ball due to the slopes/ hills.
There’s a couple drivable Par 4’s for sure hole #18 cuz I crushed a drive 5 feet from the green. (i’ve played golf for less than 2 years… I’ve had a driver for less than 2 months and was hitting them really well at Powderhorn. My buddy and I showed up at 10:30 and our tee time was 10:30 we go to check in and everything was smooth, worker was very nice he said our timing was sub par but not late lol overall i loved this course. My educated best guess is this is an awesome course for anyone to play and is very playable to anyone shooting 85+.
However there were dandelions all over the place which from a far made the ball hard to find…. I also have a tendency to not watch my ball drop lol
Nice country course
Very laid back peaceful country course. In really good shape especially for February. Difficult course with plenty of hazards. But I love the challenge. They start you off with the number one hndcp.
Ponds, Creeks & Bunkers.. oh my
Unique course. Pretty well maintained. Among tougher courses in the area. Lots of hazards. Greens were unforgiving. Only negative is facilities are rather dated.
Good for the area
Got stuck behind two father son duos playing a scramble and held up 4 groups. Paid at 9:16 for tee time of 920 and let the 930 play in front of us which ended up being real slow. Carts need maintenance, our second cart e-brake would not engage most of the round. Course was in good shape though and would play there again.
Rain day
Except for the rain we were having a good day
I was credited for partial round. Will give this course another shot
Not the best bang for the buck
This course is very challenging, especially for peeps who have problems with accuracy off the tee. It could be higher rated if not for rough conditions and conditions of cart paths, which were littered with lots of potholes. The price of yhe round did not match with the condition of the course, nor the quality of the amenities. Price point should have been $5 or $10 lower to match the quality. Still a very good course.
interesting layout
Not your run of the mill golf course. Some very interesting holes with hidden water hazards.
