Powderhorn Golf Course

There are a few quirky holes and blind shots here but the course is much more enjoyable the more you play it. The greens were in great shape and the pace of play was fantastic. It is too far away unless the golf now price is pretty good.

The greens are nice and the fairways were decent. Stray off the fairways, though, and grass is patchy and the ground is hard. Added incentive to hit the fairway!

I'd recommend the course to someone looking for value but not necessarily a great track.

Played Saturday morning 0745 for 29.00. Great deal compared to other courses Saturday morning rate. Powderhorn is in good condition, and is drying out, finally got some roll in the fairways, after soggy May. Powderhorn is a good layout with a few shorter quirky holes. What short holes lack in distance they mostly make up for with slope of the greens. This can be a little frustrating at first, but its a course that has grown on me. The only problem I had was not the courses fault. Its all of the golfers who don't repair their ball marks. There were a lot of un repaired marks. Please if you can't afford a repair tool, or can't be bothered to bend over and repair your ball mark then do us all a favor and stop playing

There are about 5 reachable par 4s which make it a fun course. Almost every time I play here my cart dies on the back nine.

It was 73 degrees on March 24th and I was playing golf! A little to windy but again it was March. Nice layout but cart path only is never fun. Conditions were a little rough but its March. For $18 it was a good deal. I'll give it another try in season to see if conditions improve. Also playing a second time will help since there were blind second shots. Walking would be tough as there are a few holes that are pretty far from green to tee.

I played here for the first time and was very pleased. The course is in great condition and was a please to play. I will be back again for sure. Don't miss out on this great track.

Great Shape, fast pace, 3 1/2 hrs, for 18 holes.

A few unplayable bunkers, due to water, but didn't mind.

Played with two friends Wednesday 9-14-2016 at 10:00. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was in great condition. Greens rolled true and held well. All in all a good experience.

Got laid off from work about 9:30am. Worked in Investment Castings Industry. Sad! Went out golfing but unfortunately, it rained heavily and I had to pack it up at Hole # 13. had a good time. Powderhorn rocks.

I played this course for the first time in August and it was a wonderful surprise. I got a $10 hot deal on Golf Now and what a bargain for the this course. It was in very good condition considering the little rain we have had this summer. They don't offer much in the way of drinks or snacks, but that is the only negative thing I would say. I will definitely be back again to play this course.

This course had some challenging holes. First time I played it an I really liked it. It was kept nice. Fairways and greens in good shape. Tree lined holes, water and sand hazards in all the right spots. Some wide open fairways off the tee and some tree lined. Two par 4 you can maybe drive the green but you have 10 years between sand traps or hazards to work with. Couple holes with water right in front of the green. Made it hard but fun to go for it! Pace of play was OK the ranger came out and said he sorry we have some people slowing you up. Most times I don't even see a ranger come out and look at that to see if something can be done so that's good!

Pace of play rant for all courses in NE OH on Fridays..... I've had some bad luck on Fridays with pace of pay at a lot of courses in NE Ohio this year. A lot of retired people not used to a single or double pushing them and wanting to play through. I guess the big problem is some foursomes think because there's another group in front of them holding them up you can't play through them and then the other group. Or in this case they wanted us to play through every time they got on the green and we would be hitting into them as they stand around the green, so we waived them on. But they never waited on the next tee to let us play through. Some courses haves been foursome after foursome and all backed up like it's a league in the middle of the day. That's just bad starter/tee time management.

Would like to play it again sometime soon.

Course in much better condition than the last 3 years that I have played there. The greens are in outstanding shape. Overall the course is in good shape. Sand traps do need some work.

Staff is exceptional. The front 9 was backed up so starter let us go off the back 9. Greens and fairways are in great shape considering the lack of rain.

Always a fan of putts that you rarely have to worry about the line as much as the pace. The slope is one of the most fun in the area. It's been a few years since I've been here, but will definitely be back.
