Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

Great conditions, value for money
Some extra fun holes, great course for a beginner like myself. Greens and fairways well maintained
Beautiful course
Greens were fast with little to no blemishes, fairways were in perfect condition. Course layout was my favorite part.
Confused by other reviews.
I was visiting this part of jersey and booked a last minute tee time, I read the reviews and felt I would be in for the worst. No way. I was pretty surprised how nice this place played. Yes there were some minor issues with some greens or tee boxes, but nothing to be overly concerned with. The greens were fast and rolled true. The fairways were mostly full and lush. This place is long and fun. Great par 3s. Overall a great experience
Headed in the wrong direction
This place gets worse every time I go. I was afraid I’d sprain my ankle as I walked across the bumpy greens. It’s condition is equivalent to Beckett Golf Course in Swedesboro, and that’s been closed for three years. I paid $70. The course is worth about $25/18 holes. You should be embarrassed!
Pleasantly surprised
With all the other courses in the area I’ve played I was expecting to see it in worse shape with how active of a season it’s been. Tee boxes were some of the nicest I’ve played in a minute and the greens were well maintained.
Nice course.
Overall good. Tee boxes are worn out. Greens were in decent shape. Hot Deal price worth the money. Hasn’t changed much in the past 20 years.
Convenient but not worth it
Course conditions were very rough. And for $70 you’d expect much better shape, signage, scorecards etc. I would not play here again and pay that much.
Couple of stupid par 4’s
Had threesome in front of our foursome that was slow as molasses. Waited to group in front of them got on the green before hitting tee shots and then all 3 couldn’t hit it past 250 yards if that. They drove on fairway on the par 3’s and on last 2 holes and Marshall was there and didn’t say anything. 13 is the dumbest par 4 on the course. Gotta hit it exactly to the end of fairway right in front of the water to have 200+ yards to a thin narrow green. I layed up and made 4 but very difficult for the average golfer. Almost a short par 5. They charge $10 extra for riding cart because I didn’t feel comfortable riding with a stranger. Even though my cart was included in the $69 fee. This course has lost parts of many greens and bunkers are a joke. I will not play here again until they lower the rates to compare with Valleybrook.
Wow disappointed
I played here few years ago and I was surprised to see what it looked like today Wow not taken care of
Maybe COVID so I get it, but I won’t go back period, it reminded me of when Pinelands were going down not taken care of.
Enjoy the course very much two holes number 10 and number 12 give me trouble but I still enjoy it..
Covid?
We had three. A rando picked up the 4th tee time and was added which isn’t a big deal. Dude was late and missed the first hole. The course guy dropped off the guy on the 2nd tee without his own cart so he was forced to join us in one of our carts even though we didn’t know the guy and the employee in the clubhouse knew we didn’t know him so bad from the start. Conditions were really bad. Probably shouldn’t have opened. Entire fairways were roped off. Course was flooded due to rain which isn’t their fault but they should’ve just not opened. Greens were really poor. Just a bad overall experience unfortunately.
A course with potential
This course has a championship layout that has potential if management puts in the money to make it nice. The front 9 was in better shape than the back 9. Holes 10-11 and 17-18 which run parallel had a lot of dirt patches and weeds in the fairways. If they took out some of the trees in between them to let them get sunlight it would help grow the grass and make the holes not as narrow and more playable. The bunkers could use better sand as there were some rocks and pebbles in them. The greens looked and felt slow but actually were fast with some pace for being aerated the day before. However, there were some bare patches on the greens. If management puts in the money or sells to someone who will, it could be a hidden gem.
