Wedgwood Country Club
About
Wedgewood Country Club in Turnersville is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Tri-State area. It offers an upscale atmosphere with a traditional layout that pays homage to Philadelphia's most prestigious and renowned private courses. The course is like playing two in one with a front nine that is spacious and open while the back nine is much tighter and more heavily tree lined. The entire Wedgewood layout sprawls across gentle undulating terrain, providing subtle breaks throughout that will test your skills. There are two holes that are particularly memorable, the 13th, one of the toughest par 4s in the area, and the 17th, a tough par 5. The 13th is a lengthy par 4 that requires a second shot over water with a long club to a difficult target. Wedgewood Country Club's penultimate hole demands accuracy with an uphill drive through a chute.

Paid for 18, was told only to play 9
Bought and used my promotion code I have for hot deals…paid for 18, course was hosting a tournament at 1:00. I teed off at 10:05 and was told I could only play 9 because I needed to be off course due to tournament. Will golf now refund me? Cause that’s the pro shop guy said to do
Nice little course in the heart of Gloucester County.
Had a great day with friends playing Wedgewood on a Golf Now promotion. Course was in good shape and and is a good challenge. Everyone was friendly and friendly the greens were all excellent. Bunkers were ok. some had some stones but all in all. great value and good fun from a 20 handicapper.
Usual poor conditions and a jerk greenskeeper
You play at Wedgewood for one reason, because you want to play last minute and can’t find a time anywhere else. Yesterday, on top of the poor conditions, the pin on every hole was cut no more than 2 paces from the edge of every green, on a slope. So when hitting off of dirt, rocks or tree roots isn’t enough of a challenge, if you managed to get one on the center of the green, a 3 putt was in play every time. Miserable round other than the great weather and company.
too many cart path only
Half the course you had to walk. the back 9 had 6 holes that are cart path only. Don,t know why??? Green boxes were chewed up no sand in the jugs on the cart to fill divits. No beer girl either the bar grill was no opened our tee time was 7;30 stop at bar and grill before back 9 it was closed.
Definitely coming back
I got this course as a hot deal. Pace of play was amazing, and the course is in great condition despite it being the end of a hot summer. Tee boxes were a little rough, but it’s the end of the season. The staff was great and the golf carts had an app that let you know a lot of info including updated distance to the hole. Great place, and I would fully recommend.
COURSE IS IN BAD SHAPE
Course is in bad shape, lots of machinery all over, looks like they are spending some money fixing Sand traps and cart paths. Hiole three which is my favorite hole, was in bad shape barely playable , greens are being irrigated , didn't play back nine, but front nine is a mess
Greens are much improved
Have been hesitant to play Wedgewood even though its 5 minutes away due to slow greens and pot-hole like cart paths. They have addressed the greens and they rolled very good. Cart paths are still horrible
Poor State of Course
Tee boxes full of weeds and divots.
Fairways poor condition and full of weeds.
Greens aerated some time ago but have weeds and dead grass.
Overpriced unless you get a special
This course stinks
Course is torn apart and greens were aerated. Starter came at us twice for playing slow....we finished in 4:10 and let a group play through per his request. The bar was closed at 9:45 on a Sunday so we played an entire round with no water, gatorade, food, etc.
This course has been getting worse for years and I will never play there again.
Worst Golf Course in the area.
Based on how many tee times are available every weekend during prime golf season, I know everybody in the South Jersey area already knows this course is horrible. BUT, desperate times call for desperate measures, and I attempted to give it another shot to enjoy the beautiful weather (Shocker.. Wedgwood has available tee times when nobody else does). The greens were aerated the past 2 days, so only the front 9 was “open”. I paid $31 for a 4 pm tee time, which I was under the impression covered the front 9 twice…
Unfortunately, we were not made aware prior to paying $31, ALL of the greens were completely closed. Temporary greens were in place, aka they were in the middle of the fairway which is basically all dead grass. The temporary holes were marked by a 3 foot tall flag, which was impossible to see from any of the horribly overgrown tee boxes. Hole 9 did not even have a hole/flag to play.
Having played this dog track before, I was not shocked by the low-grade conditions. Everybody expects overgrown fairways covered with goose poop, and poorly maintained tee boxes with little to no grass to actually tee your ball up on… But Wedgwood somehow surprised me again, when an employee met us at hole #1 after we completed 9 holes. As we were parked waiting to start a second 9 (Remember.. beautiful weather), an employee asked us “Are you guys waiting for something”. After telling him we were starting our second 9, we were told that we only paid for 9 holes, and that it would be FIFTY TWO DOLLARS to play this awful front 9 again. . Not to mention, the employee was completely unprofessional in his approach.
All that to say, this is the worst overall golf course in South Jersey.. If you have the golf itch and you’re looking for a tee time, I know Wedgwood is going to have openings… but save yourself the time and money. I wouldn’t even feel the need to say all of this, but they price themselves as a competitive golf course, and not the local muni that golfers hesitantly go to when Pitman and Valleybrook are filled… In case you are wondering, you can play Wedgwood this weekend for $79!! They only have 50 tee times available, so act fast!!
Course
Ok, I understand aerating greens. Also understand back 9 closed, done that before. But back 9 closed, play front nine twice with temp holes in the fairway???? Hole 9 didn’t even have a temp hole, course just kinda ended. If you live on your short game, this wasn’t your day. Gotta be the crab grass capital of the world, make sure you follow the cart path on par 3s to preserve that stuff. 80k geese inhabit the course, so watch your step…might affect your line putting in the fairway. What a rough round.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
You either work there or got free rounds, this course has been a dog for too many years, should be in better shape and the rates are too high for the conditions, other reviews are not like the one above,
