Marysville Golf Club
About
Marysville Golf Club has been one of the most popular public golfing options in the area since it opened as a nine-hole course in 1932. A second nine was added in the 70s, completing the layout as it exists today. Save for a few mild undulations the course is mostly flat, providing an enjoyable walk. The fast bentgrass greens provide a good opportunity to use your short game skills. There are a few small ponds that come into play as well as a meandering stream. While there isn't a plentiful amount of bunkers there are enough strategically placed throughout to provide a fair challenge. Marysville Golf Club is not overly difficult but the versatile layout has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

not bad.
The course held up well with all the rain lately. Some of the holes are very challenging with the sweeping dog legs. They need to upgrade the cart paths, and push people along. It was very crowded. All in all I did enjoy my round of golf at Marysville.
Bad Bad
First of all the staff was very rude. They charged us extra for a cart because there was three of us. They schedule our tee time during an outing and it took us over 5 1\2 hours to complete 18 holes. The greens had puddles and we hadn't had rain in two days. It was just all around bad from start to finish.
Marysville GC ohio
Course plays well. Soft greens minimal winter damage vs what I have seen on other course. Good value and I had a good time.
First time on course
Overall quality of course was very good. Fairways were in great shape and rough was maintained properly. Pace of play was extremely slow due to experience level of foursome in front of us. Had a good distance between them and group ahead.
Good Course for Begineer
Played alone. Played thru one group on the front, and the pace was good. On the back nine I couldn't play thru, to many were waiting one golfers in front of them. Rangers could have kept the pace better.
Carts and path sketchy......
When we got our first cart it was AWFUL. Clutch was bad and jerked hobbibly every start. We changed at the turn and got a better one.
The cart path needs works. VERY ROUGH in many places.
Good course, just needs some attention. Greens good.
Enjoyable round EXCEPT for the cart issues.
Course is ok but somewhat narrow fairways
Clubhouse is dated and needs paint, cleaned, and repair. The address was incorrect on Golfnow!
Old school greens
It's a short course that will still test your short game. The greens are nice.
I think Golf Gnomes live on this course
Okay, maybe not Golf Gnomes, but I've never lost multiple balls on pretty straight and true shots before, until I played here. I do not know how it happened, or exactly what happened, but on three holes my second shot just went missing. I was under some trees or a bit in the rough, but I always track my shots fairly well. Felt like some out of this world nonsense was going on.
I played in a group of three and we tee'd off at 7:22am. There were only two other cars here so the course was empty, quiet, relaxing which lent itself to a very nice round of golf. The course itself was in good condition except for dead - previously mowed grass everywhere. The greens were nice and rolled on the quicker side of average. I will say the bunkers had nothing in them that resembled sand.
By the time we made it back to the clubhouse at around a little before 10am after playing the first nine, it was quite busy. I would definitely suggest playing this course very early if you are going to play it.
The course is very tight in some areas, so close together in fact that tee boxes are right next to each other with a chain link fence in between so golfers don't tee off right into each other's faces.
6 beers for $11.50, very nice staff, and the best round of golf I have ever played get this a four star rating from me, otherwise I think I would have left it at a three.
BTW, great deal playing this for $25 from GolfNow.
Fun couse
great price, fairways were in perfect condition! Can't wait to go back.
Get what you pay for
The course itself isn't that bad. It's a pretty typical layout with a few hard doglegs. The course would be a good course for a beginner. I played in the afternoon and played by myself. I shot worse than normal (86 that day) and only had to play through 1 group and finished in 2 hours! My only real beef is their cart paths and bridges. They are by far the worst I've been on in a very long time (been golfing for 25 years). Put a little investment in these (at least new gravel) so it doesn't feel like you're driving through a war zone. Also, on the last par 3, the sprinklers were on making it tough to play the hole. One of the sprinklers was broken a shot water out like it was Old Faithful. It caused the front half of the green to be saturated and unplayable from the front half of the green and apron. I'll probably play it again sometime but there are many other courses in the Columbus metro I'll play before I go back.
Marysville great price for the course.
Marysville should be played by all Columbus golfers on Golf Now. The price cant be beat for what you get. A easy drive from Columbus with some good golf hole layouts.
The greens are really nice and this Marysville course has some hills and trees that come into play.
I like the course.
Old course still gets it done
This is a course that I played many years ago, then forgot. The course is moderately challenging, some holes more than others. Some holes require local course knowledge that will seem elusive on the first go. The greens were firm and pretty fast. Greens rolled well. Course was very green and well drained (for the springtime). Clubhouse can use some renovation, but was suitable for the days round. Reasonable rates. Overall, better than I remembered. Will play again.
Great Value
Great golf now value. Greens were super fast. Pace of play was virtually no wait. Bunkers need to be taken care of a little better.
eh
I played here a lot in high school because it was our home course. The tee boxes are very tall, the greens were holey. Not taken care of like it used to be. Not worth the money or time in my opinion.
a tough tee shot to start the day.
was extremely wet. overall, a good course that has some interesting holes. an easy drive from columbus
Prepping for winter. Leaves made it hard to find the ball. Very good value.
Very good value. Smaller greens that are really sloped from front to back. Lots of practice getting up and down.
I always enjoy playing this course even though it is a slight drive for me from the Hilliard area.
The course was in very good shape, and the play was at a very good pace. As always, the people in the pro shop were friendly, as well as, the people who come there to play. It is always a pleasant atmosphere. If I have a complaint, it would be that I feel the yardage markers need to be more prominent and easier to see during play.
Great course for the price
The course is short but well maintained and being the first time playing it, I would return. Great value
