Marysville Golf Club
About
Marysville Golf Club has been one of the most popular public golfing options in the area since it opened as a nine-hole course in 1932. A second nine was added in the 70s, completing the layout as it exists today. Save for a few mild undulations the course is mostly flat, providing an enjoyable walk. The fast bentgrass greens provide a good opportunity to use your short game skills. There are a few small ponds that come into play as well as a meandering stream. While there isn't a plentiful amount of bunkers there are enough strategically placed throughout to provide a fair challenge. Marysville Golf Club is not overly difficult but the versatile layout has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

this course makes you drive straight
I found that i had to realy place the ball well to stay in the line of view.Narrow fairways but great greens.5/27/2013
Average golf course
I'll give it 3 stars due to it being early in the season. If it were June, this course would be getting a 2 star rating from me. I'll just list the Pros and Cons.
Pros : Greens were well maintained, staff was very friendly, pace of play was great due to lack of golfers, price is reasonable.
Cons : Fairways were non-existent, all greens were extremely boring and circles, the rough was way too rough.
I would consider playing again, hoping they cut their grass on a more regular basis as the season grows older.
Great Value. Nice greens.
This is a great course for the money with some interesting terrain. It's not very long, but the greens are smallish and will test your iron play. Greens and fairways are in excellent condition.
Enjoy!
Good from far but far from good.
I live in Marysville and every year a give this course a shot because it looks good from the road and every year I'm disappointed. The fairways are 3/4-1" long. Literally half the ball is buried in the fairways. The greens are okay, definitely slow though and you can't hold them cause you're hitting from the rough at all times! lol. The rough around the greens isn't cut so you might be in 2" rough or 8" rough. Ridiculous... Some traps have sand but most just dirt.
Carts are horrible and paths are worse. I payed $8 and it was too much.
Marysville offers golfers a moderate challenge and nice layout.
Course has a number of scenic holes and a diversified layout. They should invest in new carts. The ones they have are fairly old. The clubhouse has a nice size dining room and porch overlooking a very scenic lake.
Great Value
Very competitive on their discounts. Had no problem with booking.
Peaceful, but Challenges
I was so thrilled to find a secluded course that is in such excellent condition. The club house was to be desired, but the course is obviously what counts the most. Most of the other courses I've played around Columbus have a huge geese problem, but course seemed to have this at a minimum. Nice people. Fun course layout. I am ready to play it again!
Great Condition
The course was in great condition on 10/17. My only recommendation would be to fix up the cart paths, carts and parking lot. Considering the location and local economy I can understand how this would be a challenge. One thing to note, #10 tee points directly at #18 green. There should be more guidance here. I'll definitely come back and play again.
nice course for the money
nice course for the money but expect to hear complaints from the owner if you only book "hot deals"
Great course!
This course is great! It is among the top courses in the county! I really enjoyed my time there. Being this late in the season it was in great shape and the greens played smoothly. I recommend this course to anyone who loves the game of golf.
nice walking course
This short course is well maintained and fun to play. Aside from a few hills, a nice walking course. Since the course has houses on parts of it, there a few 90 degree doglegs that can be interesting. I am not a bomber with the driver (250 yds avg), but I think I only pulled it out of the bag twice. The only drawback I can see is that because it is a shorter course, it can get a little jammed up on a busy day.
Hidden gem
Marysville. GC is a beautifully-maintained course. Friendly staff, great views. Something for everyone!
