Marysville Golf Club
About
Marysville Golf Club has been one of the most popular public golfing options in the area since it opened as a nine-hole course in 1932. A second nine was added in the 70s, completing the layout as it exists today. Save for a few mild undulations the course is mostly flat, providing an enjoyable walk. The fast bentgrass greens provide a good opportunity to use your short game skills. There are a few small ponds that come into play as well as a meandering stream. While there isn't a plentiful amount of bunkers there are enough strategically placed throughout to provide a fair challenge. Marysville Golf Club is not overly difficult but the versatile layout has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

Course is great shape
Greens are great
Awesome value for money
Some bunkers need more sand
Can't believe I haven't played here before
For the price and overall conditions of the course, I can't believe I haven't been recommended to play here before. I've played some of the other courses in Marysville, but this is definitely my favorite thus far. The staff was very nice despite my foursome showing up a few minutes late. Course was in great shape, especially for only a sub $30 weekend 18 + cart fee. Definitely looking forward to playing here again.
Surprised how nice the greens were already!
Although very soft and wet (every course is this time of year), the course was very playable, and the greens were actually very good. Recently cut and rolled it appeared. I enjoyed the round there, especially for the rate.
Great place for affordable pratice.
Marysville is not impressive. Nothing fancy about it. Short, open, very old carts. With that said, course is in pretty good shape. Easily the best place to play in its price range. At a certain point you have to ask yourself, for just more than a bucket of balls at the range.... Would you rather play a good value course in 3 hours and shoot a respectable score or a much more expensive, busy high end course in 6 hours and struggle to get through it without wanting to snap every club of the beginner's in front of you. I love this place for the fact it's super cheap, and never crowded.
Great Value for a Saturday Morning
We played a threesome on a nice Saturday morning at 9:30 in about 4 1/2 hours. We only paid $25.
The course is not a premium facility by any stretch, but it is a mature course with really nice grass. The greens are slow, but they run very true and break as much as any course I have played in the area.
The course is understaffed. On a Saturday morning, I had to wait for the person working the snack bar to come in and check me in to play. The worker was cordial, but clearly working her tail off.
The course has a $22 all you can play rate starting at noon. There was fog, so they started us on the back and we made the turn at about 11:40 AM. There were two groups already on the tee for the the noon deal so we waited a half hour. We should have been allowed to make the turn, but we still managed to play the entire round in 4 1/2 hours.
There are some funky holes, but nothing too crazy. Number 7 is a par 5 with a huge tree on the right side of the fairway. You definitely want to favor the left side of the fairway, and the rough on the left is preferable to the right side of the fairway. Number 14 is a dogleg right with water that can easily be cleared. This hole is 400 on the card, but probably closer to 300 on a straight line. You can hit it almost as far right as it looks like you possibly can and be fine. Number 15 is a dogleg straight right. There is a pretty great advantage to carrying the tree on the right side of the fairway as it can shorten your approach shot by 30 to 40 yards.
I would recommend this as an alternative to the more expensive courses in Columbus on Saturday or Sunday mornings.
Good value for the money
I only paid $17 on golfnow. I do not think I would pay much more. The golf carts have not been washed since 1998. Course condition was pretty good. Greens were in very good shape. Club house is very outdated and is in need of a lot cleaning and upgrading.
Sundaygolf
Course was in overall good shape. there were some small holes (bare spots) in the fairway grass. Greens were OK
Challenge
Challenging enough for high handicapper like myself, however it does provide you with opportunities to score. Your are definitely in the country and that feels good. The maintainance crew has some challenges due to low areas that hold a lot of water. All in all, a pretty good value. I will go back.
Good but not memorable
Pros: the fairways and greens were in good shape, the golfnow price was great, and the staff seemed genuinely interested in providing a good experience for golfers.
Cons: The course is set up in a way that you'll constantly see golfers from other holes. Tee boxes are very close to greens or other tee boxes so you're always dealing with other golfers. Also the back nine features two short par fours that I thought were really unsuccessful. Both were around 300 yards but they were set up in a way that long hitters would be hitting a middle iron to the middle of the fairway. I think that's indicative of the course as a whole, fairly vanilla in set up.
Good value
Compared to other courses in the area they offered the best price at the time we needed to play. Staff knew who we were when we walked in and made sure we could fit in our round with the leagues that were scheduled.
First time at Marysville Golf Club
Played Marysville Golf Club today for the first time. Have heard a lot about the course just never been there to play before today. Played an extremely quick and peaceful round as a solo today. 4 groups let me play through and finished 18 holes in under 2.5 hours. I play fast but other golfers were great in accommodating me as a solo which is rare these days. Tee boxes could have used some work but fairways and greens were in great shape. Clubhouse is old and outdated I don't play golf much in the clubhouse. Ha. Enjoyed the round!!!
nice fairways and greens, bunkers are garbage
Bunkers are literally just dirt, no sand, fairways and greens are nice, bunkers are garbage
Nice course
A nice course and a friendly staff makes this a good experience for golfers of any skill level.
Good for Beginner
An ok course to play. Not too challenging and course conditions could have been better. Needs work on golf cart paths. Yardage seems to be off on most holes. If you want to get some practice & don't want to spend a lot of money....this is your course.
not bad.
The course held up well with all the rain lately. Some of the holes are very challenging with the sweeping dog legs. They need to upgrade the cart paths, and push people along. It was very crowded. All in all I did enjoy my round of golf at Marysville.
Bad Bad
First of all the staff was very rude. They charged us extra for a cart because there was three of us. They schedule our tee time during an outing and it took us over 5 1\2 hours to complete 18 holes. The greens had puddles and we hadn't had rain in two days. It was just all around bad from start to finish.
Marysville GC ohio
Course plays well. Soft greens minimal winter damage vs what I have seen on other course. Good value and I had a good time.
First time on course
Overall quality of course was very good. Fairways were in great shape and rough was maintained properly. Pace of play was extremely slow due to experience level of foursome in front of us. Had a good distance between them and group ahead.
Good Course for Begineer
Played alone. Played thru one group on the front, and the pace was good. On the back nine I couldn't play thru, to many were waiting one golfers in front of them. Rangers could have kept the pace better.
