Marysville Golf Club
About
Marysville Golf Club has been one of the most popular public golfing options in the area since it opened as a nine-hole course in 1932. A second nine was added in the 70s, completing the layout as it exists today. Save for a few mild undulations the course is mostly flat, providing an enjoyable walk. The fast bentgrass greens provide a good opportunity to use your short game skills. There are a few small ponds that come into play as well as a meandering stream. While there isn't a plentiful amount of bunkers there are enough strategically placed throughout to provide a fair challenge. Marysville Golf Club is not overly difficult but the versatile layout has a playability that will appeal to players of all skill levels.

Much improved!!!
I played here a few years ago and overall the entire place seemed like it was in shambles. Cart paths were terrible, greens were awful. Great course layout but it needed reviving. I drive past this place every day and I’ve been able to see it repaired day by day over the last year. I decided to give it another try and boy am I glad I did!!! The gentleman in the pro shop was so nice and from the very start I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course. The greens are beautiful, tee boxes maintained, fairways are nicely manicured. Cart paths are in much better shape than before. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere and I’ll definitely be going back!!!
The Middle aged 55 year old-ish guy working the pro shop is a complete D Bag. He told me every single item in the Pro shop is 25% off. I grabbed a box of TP5 Pix balls from the shelf, told the guy that I like the design on them and handed him the box to ring up. He tells me he will only give me $7 off (12% off). I question his original comment of “everything is 25% off” and he insults me by saying “Yeah well these are dumb stupid pix balls so I can’t give you the full discount”. I literally told him that I like this product and calls them dumb and stupid to my face. What an insecure Tool. It’s no wonder this course appears to be failing and has been for the past year+. He’s lucky people still play this course. It’s a pathetic excuse for a golf course with a boring generic cow pasture layout. Everyone, if you are in the Marysville area, please do yourself a favor and play Darby Creek Golf Course instead of Marysville GC.
Rude Staff. Boring Course Layout. Avoid.

Windy day at Marysville GC
As a single I got paired up with two guys (buddies) and another single (2 hdcp). The others were a strong 15 hdcp. It was a pleasure to watch someone of that caliber play the game that 95% of all golfers do not have a clue how to play. He played from the Blue tees while we three play from the gold. We all have a great day and enjoyed the course and all it had to offer. The new ownership here has made some very serious improvements both on the course as well as in the clubhouse. All good. I will definitely be back.
Great value; decent course
We got a great deal on GolfNow (20 bucks for 18 and a cart), and it was well worth the money. They have gotten new carts (equipped with GPS) since we last played there, and the course is in decent shape, especially for early November. We were told that there was a big outing on the previous day, so we would have expected the tee boxes and greens (the latter of which were rock hard) to be in better shape. Apparently, they intentionally set the course up to make it as difficult as possible for the outing, so most of the pins were in spots that were borderline ridiculous, but it actually made for a fun test of touch on the greens. Our biggest criticism is that the cart paths are still terrible, so I hope that is something that is addressed in the near future. Kudos on the extremely friendly staff, especially the young man (Nico) who got us checked in. We'll definitely be back!
Great Course / Great Staff
Paired up with 2 other singles. One happened to be a local. Helped me with some of the blind shots on the course. Definitely worth the drive.
It gets better every time.
Owners have put a ton of money into this course in the last couple of years. What used to be an afterthought is now a favorite. The course is in very good shape. Greens are fast and true. New carts this year. Clubhouse has been completely updated and redone. If you haven't played here in a while I would highly recommend it.
Fun course
First time at this course and decided to play back 9 kind of late in the day and the owner had no issue with it even though sun was setting soon. I appreciated that. Super friendly staff. Thanks.
Nice little course
Nice little course for the price. It was a little crowded and backed up at first on the weekend but once you got going the pace of play was comfortable
Room for Improvement
Front desk worker says just have carts back in by 9pm at a 5:40 T-time. I only paid for 9 holes through this app because that’s all that was available, so I assume like other slow courses I’ve played on a late T time they were being cool.
Hole 10 comes around and some elderly worker comes flying up to the green yelling about you pay for what you play, i need to get off the course, obviously that’s fine and dandy, I apologies for the misunderstanding and try to explain why I played though, as he drives off to yell at the solo behind me trying to drive the 10th because I had mentioned to the older guy that the solo behind me was told the same thing in the club house.
After dropping the cart back off to the club house, I asked the same guy why he wouldn’t just ask if I wanted to play 18 at that point instead of telling me I had to leave, ended in a cursing match back and forth until I just drove off.
The course was a little pricey for what it was, the greens and fairways are covered in goose crap but decent kept and everyone was playing from each others fairways because of the design and lack of rangers on the course, I wouldn’t suggest this place to anyone really. Just my opinion.
Great
Great layout for new golfers fun to play, only bad thing was that there may have been a sewage thing going on, it smelled of poopy every now and again…. No it wasn’t me lol
