Timberview Golf Club
About
Timberview Golf Club rolls across a diverse landscape that is ideal for a challenging round. The rolling terrain is covered with mature trees, ponds, and creeks. There is a housing development surrounding the golf course, but the houses do not intrude into the game. The layout features seven holes that were carefully carved from the dense forests and fourteen holes with water hazards coming into play. The course has a good balance of player-friendly holes and more challenging holes. The wide fairways are well manicured and the undulating greens are medium in size. In addition to the water and trees, sand fiercely guards the greens on half of the holes. The layout is still gentle enough to appeal to beginners. Timberview also offers two practice putting greens.

Yuk
Tee box’s were either mud or so dry you can barely stick the tee in the ground. Couldn’t tell the difference between rough and fairway, grass was dying. Half the greens were brown. Course layout was nice. Not busy, to be expected during weekday morning. Staff was a little off putting, like I was interrupting his coffee or something. I didn’t bother looking at club house, Didn’t look like much from where I checked in so didn’t bother. Over all probably will not be returning until they fix the conditions of the grass. Not worth $25 when I can pay $30 somewhere else for better conditions
Great for the price
Cart path needs repaved but besides that good course.
Don’t Bother
First and last time playing this one. At $35 this is somehow still not worth all that money. This course is like going to the local dive bar and paying $12 for a can of coors. I just wanted to play a course in columbus on the weekend that wasn’t $80+ so I went for this one despite the bad reviews. Had I known I would’ve just hit the range and called it a day. I’m telling you just don’t bother. Half of the grass on each green is dead and they’re all inconsistent. There are no blue tees. The practice green looks totally uncared for. The gravel paths have so many craters that it’s entirely useless even driving on them. I could go on and on about the negatives because I can honestly say I can’t even think about one positive thing about this course. You couldn’t pay me to play here again.
Course condition
Greens need to be better
Signboards are missing in many of the holes
Do not ever play!
Its It's been several years since I've played this course, and I'll never play here again!
The course conditions were terrible. You couldn't tell the difference between to fairway and the rough, it's the same, ALL CLOVER! The greens were all burnt out. Havent been watered, probably never. No yardage markers on the course. Overpaid for this dump! will never play their again. STAY AWAY!
Good place to play, because the price is right. If I
Cheaper than a bucket of balls
It's fine. Nice people, slow play. The greens are like putting on most other courses fairways. Good place to knock it around for cheap.
Tough conditions
I’ve played this course before and know it is not a properly taken care of course. It has its purpose if you are just starting out golfing or don’t golf much but anyone who does golf regularly should avoid it. If it has rained even a little bit the drainage is terrible. If it’s rained a lot don’t go.
Great time
I had an amazing round yesterday. Staff was super nice! lots of fun holes. I will be back
This course is very affordable
Timberview is a great course to get out without breaking the bank. I’ve been going there for years. It’s nice to have an 18 hole course the doesn’t cost $50+ a round. They’ve made the greens a little better this year and it’s not a bad course. I heard a rumor they may be turning the back 9 into a par 3 course. I prefer it just the way it is and would love to see them keep fixing it up maybe even find a way to make a par 72
Perfect course to play solo
I’ve played here a couple times now. Usually they only charge about 15-20 bucks for 18. I used a hot deal tee time/discounts to play for 1.99! I don’t care if I’m playing on concrete, that’s a great deal to golf anywhere.
The course itself is harder than a rock so you have to play everything short into the hole or it will run (more like bounce) off the back. The greens themselves are very small and very slow when putting. The course layout actually is somewhat challenging as the course is heavily surrounded by neighboring houses. They sprinkle in a couple dog legs, that can be tricky too. The par 3s are all pretty straightforward.
This course is perfect for somebody trying to get a quick round in (I played it with a cart in just over 2 hours and 10 minutes). The pace of play is fast. This is a good course to come work on your game, play two balls and work on some shots that have been giving you trouble as you don’t feel rushed.
If there’s one thing I wish Timberview would improve is their cart paths! Very well could be the bumpiest ride in all of Ohio and that’s saying something…. Stay on the grass lol.
Needs a lot of work
The tee boxes and greens are in such bad shape. There is so much potential with this course. However the maintenance of the course has been miserable for many years.
