Timberview Golf Club
About
Timberview Golf Club rolls across a diverse landscape that is ideal for a challenging round. The rolling terrain is covered with mature trees, ponds, and creeks. There is a housing development surrounding the golf course, but the houses do not intrude into the game. The layout features seven holes that were carefully carved from the dense forests and fourteen holes with water hazards coming into play. The course has a good balance of player-friendly holes and more challenging holes. The wide fairways are well manicured and the undulating greens are medium in size. In addition to the water and trees, sand fiercely guards the greens on half of the holes. The layout is still gentle enough to appeal to beginners. Timberview also offers two practice putting greens.

Needs Work
So here’s the deal. I’ve heard that this course is under recent new ownership so unsure what the plan for the course is but I will say, 18 greens were in bad shape(disease) This could be attributed to drought conditions but? The greens were verticut to help them im sure. The layout is a really good layout . I am hoping that the new owners can inject some new life into the course but for now it is pretty rough.
Still the worst in area
I don’t think they water their grass at all. Tee box’s are just rock hard dirt barely can stick a tee down, fairways look like a regular back yard that hasn’t seen water all summer dead yellow grass everywhere, rough is dead wallow grass a little longer than fairway, greens has fungus or something all over and ball bounces all round on putts. Honestly just water grass and charge $50 like everyone else. Also ahave someone out monitoring idiots getting drunk on course and doing 8 man best ball. Literally 6 groups stuck behind these rowdy drunk guys screaming like they’re at a football game taking 20 min at tee box’s. Would’ve asked for a refund but doubt I would’ve got it
If they would spend some time and money on the fairways and greens it could be a beautiful course. The equipment used for the fairways and greens should be upgraded, seems they are just mowing instead of manicuring
Timber view golf course
There is no grass on the green. Fair way is like rock
. That was wasted money. I played before wasn’t
That bad but now is worse. If I know I never played there.
Best Bang for you buck
Keep in mind when looking at this course that you can get a hot deal on this app for around $25. If you expect/require a country club atmosphere with strict rules on golf etiquette then it’s not the place for you. That being said, for a $25 round of Golf on Saturday and Sunday mornings is the cheapest you’ll ever play.
I’m not one to knock a course unless they over charge you because they think their course is nicer than it actually is. This course is very laid back and perfect for beginner to average golfers, and that’s mostly the people who go. You can enjoy it at a higher level as well though if you want a laid back day. Since there are a lot of beginners and fun time golfers, the pace of play is very slow. Unless you require a pristine course to be happy, this course provides a nice relaxing round of golf.
It is a very short course so I only pulled out a driver 6 or 7 times, and that was mostly just because I wanted to try to drive the green. So it’s great for dialing your iron play and playing to specific yardages. The greens looked fuzzy and slow, but rolled surprisingly well. It may have just been the day I played because of some recent rain, but it took a lot for me to get it to bite and spin back. Biggest downside for me is no driving range. But the holes are really open and forgiving. You won’t see a cart girl or any Marshalls during your round. Because of the crowd it attracts you might find yourself around some new golfers that know nothing about golf etiquette. As long as you’re out there to relax and enjoy the day it’s a fun place. I’ll definitely play again when I want a laid back round
Aerated greens and horrible fairways
The fairways are straight dirt. Nothing is upkept, the greens were aerated and also had giant patches of mud. 0/10 but the only free tee times after work and was only $25
Don’t waste your money
Greens completely unkept; major barren spots at every green. Players were not courteous, always hit 2-3 balls per tee
Fair.
Overall for the money that you pay to play here it is a pretty decent course. They need to work on the greens more, seems to be some kind of fungus growing on them. But I will go back again
Great Value
Staff is great, price is great. We had a lot of fun! Thanks
Course is fun to play
Enjoyed the course and the speed of play, a little work on the greens and fairways the course could be greater
No food service?
It was about 11 and no food staff was available for a sandwich. Was very slow pace on the back nine.
Relaxing course
I always enjoy golfing there, I think over all the course is fair. It’s a perfect course for seniors. It has got a bad rap from some people but it’s not the courses fault. You can go pay at other clubs a lot more. Just watch for deals and enjoy the game without breaking the bank. I wouldn’t play it on weekends due the big price hike. But during the week it is perfect
Look, hot deals for $16-$18 , good deal, and for that price, course isn't bad
Fun course
The course is ok, for tthe average golfer for the price it is great. If you want to waste your money on some fancy course go ahead. I will continue playing this course 2 to 3 times a week just to relax. If you are smart get golf now and save a ton and have fun
