Timberview Golf Club
About
Timberview Golf Club rolls across a diverse landscape that is ideal for a challenging round. The rolling terrain is covered with mature trees, ponds, and creeks. There is a housing development surrounding the golf course, but the houses do not intrude into the game. The layout features seven holes that were carefully carved from the dense forests and fourteen holes with water hazards coming into play. The course has a good balance of player-friendly holes and more challenging holes. The wide fairways are well manicured and the undulating greens are medium in size. In addition to the water and trees, sand fiercely guards the greens on half of the holes. The layout is still gentle enough to appeal to beginners. Timberview also offers two practice putting greens.

All holes have temporary tee boxes. Greens aren't great. But the price with a cart can be had for less than $15 if watch for the hot deal. You can play a round for less than a large bucket of balls.
A Ride in the Park
Overall, it was refreshing to be outdoors. The weather was fine, just a little breezy, but windy at times. We played the course since it close to where one on us lives and the cost was only $25 w/cart. The course was nice enough and playable, it had winter tees. Of course, we should have scored better, but we had a lot of three putts. Oh well, it's fall weather, lots of fallen leaves, but it was still good to get outside.
Overall review
Timberview continues to keep prices affordable. Great course for someone starting out or for someone needing to practice .Course is challenging on holes .Greens could use a little more TLC .I would recommend anyone that wants to just practice or looking for a deal ,this is course for that .
Low prices are the upside here
The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the price to play here is as cheap as you’ll find, but there’s a reason for that. The greens are covered in patches of dirt and the fairways are the same length as the rough so it’s all just pretty crappy grass. Nice people, but a rough course to play without much maintenance
Best Course Around!
Great course for the money! Good food, staff is fantastic!
What Happened?
Been years since played last time. The worst course conditions I think I have played…used to be far better. Can’t even enter your scores into the USGA handicap platform as the have no tee ratings.
If the staff cared...
I've watched this course seriously fall off the map, in terms of care over the last few years. Tee boxes are begging to roll an ankle are tear a knee ligament. Greens are full of dead spots and marks from people hitting wedges off of them, or slamming putters into them, or stabbing the flagstick into them.
The layout is super fun. The people running the joint are super nice. But the course conditions almost make it not worth it, even when you can catch a hot deal for 12 bucks.
Need practice.... on a course? This is the place.
I will start with the positives.
- The Staff: Friendliest staff. Always upbeat and they seem very genuine in their customer service interactions.
- The price: Very difficult to beat... however... you get what you pay for.
The... limitations.
- Aside from mowing the lawn, the course seems to be poorly maintained. The back 9 sand bunkers are non-existent, full of weeds (thus a risk for ticks if you want to attempt to get your ball back)
- Tee markers were completely missing. Divots aren't taken care of and the tee boxes seem like they are absolutely destroyed.
If you're a new golfer or even a 20+ handicapper, this course is fantastic for getting course experience for the price you pay.
