Classic Country Club Out In The Country
Course requires a little local knowledge in order to score well. Gold tees are a little too short for the shorter hitters off the tee. White tees were a little too long for older, shorter guys off the tee. A merging of gold and white tees would create a perfect round. So that's how I played it. Very good condition and a GREAT value on GolfNow!!
wonderfuly course to play
used a golfnow hot deal otherwise normally would not play little on expensive. but course was in great shape and love to play there occasionally.
father n son
this course was wonderful top to bottom.
had a wonderful time. will be back.
Forgotten Course
I haven't played this course in about 15+ years
Played w/Golf Now Hot Deal - otherwise would not pay full price for the course.
Decent course - with a few challenging holes #16 & #17
If you can get a golf now hot deal for this one, get and play it.
course is always well maintained
good challenge for all handicapers. always enjoy playing there
great course
Good maintained course. Loved wide fairways don't get me wrong when missing your placement it gets interesting. Great #17 par 3 over pond. Would reccommend
Great Course, don't look for friendly staff
Course was in great shape. Greens were slower than normal. The staff is not friendly and the course is usually open because of it.
Excellent Course!
Great course, although it's only a little over 6900 yards, the greens definitely make up the difference in the overall difficulty of this course. Have some experience before you play this course!
nice track
greens and overall course in excellent condition, staff friendly ,played in 3.5 hours
Nice course
The course was in good shape. Not overly crowded for a holiday. Didn't expect much food wise because it was a holiday and everybody is going to a cookout.
Very Positive Experience
The course was in very good condition, especially considering all of the rain we've had lately. Fairways were well-maintained, greens we receptive and putts were true. We were very pleased with the course conditions.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. This clubhouse could really use an up-dating - it's just like it was in the 70's! The reception, however, was the friendliest we've received in the last 20 years.
Some of the nicest greens I have putt on.
ALWAYS a pleasure playing Pleasant Valley. The course was not crowded for such a beautiful day in November, which was pefect for getting together with some friends I haven't seen for almost 30 years. GREAT TIME
Cart path only when, what a joke!!!
Played this track 9/24 and got positioned behind a senior league
group. I would say 19 to 20 golfers. It was torture following them. My brother and I had to wait on every shot. What made matters worse was they imposed a CART PATH ONLY that morning. I can see why the course was in such great shape you can't ride on it. They didn't even allow you to cross the fairway at any point. they even have the golf carts set up where if you leave the cart path the carts stall out. You have to put the cart into reverse and get back on the cart path and then into forward to proceed again down the cart path. In our estimation there was no need to have CART PATH ONLY that day. The entire day we did not see any casual water or any evidence of the rain fall they claimed to have had the day before. Footing was good, no balls plugging no matter how high you hit the ball and very little if any dirt on the ball after a shot. To ask people to pay for a cart and then say cart path only you might as well save your money and take a pull cart. Our golf shoes were as dry when we took them off as they were when we put them on.
Make sure you check on their cart path rules before you book a tee time.
I will say if you use golfnow.com you can get good value for your money. I did hear some of the senior league players say they are not going back because of the golf cart policy that day.
Nevertheless the course itself was in great shape from tee boxes to fairways and greens. What a shame they have to keep it that way by not letting you drive on it. WHAT A JOKE!!
nice from the blue tees
it was long but not overwhelming. could use more sandtraps
Good course, great greens!
Pleasant Valley is certainly the hidden gem of Medina county. A couple holes on the back 9 don't fit in with the rest of layout, but all in all it is a solid course. The fairways are nicely maintained, the rough is nice but patchy in spots, and the cartpaths could use some work, but the winner here is the greens. The greens have some nice undulations, are not overly quick, and roll very smooth and true. There are some difficult drives, some difficult approaches, and also a good deal of birdie holes. The standout at Pleasant Valley is definitely the 17th hole; one of the best par 3's I have played all year. Overall, Pleasant Valley is a good bang for the buck.
A nice course. Holes provide oppotunities to use a variety of clubs in your bag.
I have enjoyed playing this course for a long time. Pleasant Valley is better than most around and I consider it a hidden treasure. It is nice to play on turf in the fairways.
good layout but poor condition
The overall layout is really good on this track. It's tough and requires one to work the ball both ways. But it's in lousy shape and that's too bad. I will not be going back.
Fun course to play
Course requires you to think about most of the shots that you will be hitting. Greens are in very good shape, very quick if above the hole locations. Tough to get up and down if you miss greens.
