Great Time.
Beautiful course, well maintained. When I see workers during my round l respect that. Traps were all raked, sand was perfect. Even after a number of thunderstorms the night before. Price was right. Played the next day at Harbor Pines and bragged about Pinelands to everyone. Thankyou.
Great course
This course is in great condition.I have played here several times. The improvements are unbelievable.
The staff is fantastic.
I highly recommend this course in fact I want to join. I do not live close but it is worth the drive.
Course maintenance
The course is in very good condition. That said the problems for me are i can’t remember when I was able to play all 18 holes without restrictions. Meaning all 18 holes were fully open and teeing off on the normal tee boxes. I was told in the fall and winter of last year that the all upgrades would be competed by this April. As of yesterday at least 3 holes and cart paths were being worked on. Also there is no water on the course except for the water fountain at the snack bar.
Pinelands in July
Kudos to Pinelands for continuously working to improve the course! All grass was in fantastic shape this time, with a few exceptions. One comment right now is that two holes were substantially shortened due to the course maintenance, so I hope the updates can be completed promptly so it’s a full length course again soon. This course is HIGH on my list of favorites in South Jersey! Loved it!
Excellent Upgrades!
Pinelands has recently come under new ownership and the experience is all the better for it. An upgraded clubhouse and reshaping of the course have created a unique, modern golf course in the heart of South Jersey.
Decent course for price
It was my first time playing here. The condition of course was good. Greens rolled pretty decent. For the price of $59 definitely not bad.
My issue I had was 90degrees out and had a little soft cooler with water and Gatorade to drink and they wanted to say no to the little cooler. The course had no water coolers to drink water. They had no beverage cart which I’ve never seen a public course in summer not have. The halfway house wasn’t until after 5th hole and 9th. Then nothing the rest of round. If you are providing water coolers you need to allow non-alcohol drinks.
The pace was slow and don’t think the ranger had a clue how to do his job cause there was a gap group in front of us and never fixed it. The layout itself back up some also going from par 5 to a long par 3.
Pinelands
First and foremost the course is in excellent condition. I think the starters need a little bit coaching on getting golfers out to the first tee. My group was ready to go out and play and the first tee box was empty but it was 15 minutes before our start time so they said we couldn't load up our clubs yet. Why? I worked golf courses in area and I was always told to never to have an empty first tee box if golfers are ready to go. The round was really slow . I think we waited on every hole for golfers that waited to hit their second shot until the group ahead of them were on the green?? They were not that good and were hitting the ball all over the place. The point is that the so called ranger that was riding around stealing money because he wasn't saying anything to speed up play. 4 hours and 45 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon. Not good. Management just needs to mentor the young employees on proper things on the course and golf etiquette. Thanks.
Great conditions and course improvements
The ownership has done so much to revitalize this course and has made it one of the best places to golf in the area. From tee to green, the removal of some trees and weird water features, and the installations of legit cart paths, everything has been improved in some form or fashion. The pace was a little slow in some areas of the course, but it was a perfect weather day for golf so I wasn't surprised it was busy. The restaurant on-site was also very good. Would easily return for another round very soon!
Played today.
The course has definitely improved over the last couple years. The staff is genuinely nice. The one downside is that there are no water jugs on the course when it is over 90°. Unfortunately, that is a bummer to me. I brought a 24 and 32 oz mug of water and blew through them because it was so hot. After buying a cocktail, buying a shirt and paying for the round they still want us to buy water from them. Shame on them.
Great day in the Pinelands
This course used to be a dog track. But over the last 4 year the new owner have brought it back to the beauty of a course it was
Course Renovations are all Grown In
The upgrades to the course are all fully grown into place. Fun course and great facilities. We were able to get a good afternoon price. It can be pricey.
Hot Hot day Nice course
Pinelands has ongoing upgrades to the facility top to bottom. On a hot day the course conditions couldn't have been better. Enjoy the treelined holes as they gave some shade to keep the weather enjoyable. Amenities, staff and clubhouse have all improved as well.
Really Enjoyed
I have played almost all the courses in Southern NJ I enjoyed the course and would give it the highest value for the dollar in Southern NJ
Very good course
I have been playing this course for a couple years now. The course is completely wooded. The owner has invested a lot into course improvements such as the greens, tee boxes, turf, cart paths. As a result, the conditions are outstanding. The staff is very friendly. As a senior player, I found the course length from the gold tees to be too long for many seniors, especially on the tighter holes. If you don’t hit long, straight drives, you will have a hard time getting on in regulation and the greens are very challenging. This course is more difficult than most that I play.
Work in Progress
Considerable money appears to have been spent to upgrade the course conditions and after-round amenities. Significant areas have been resodded but some areas did not take. New hole signs list hole number but no yardage (refer to scorecard). No water available on course and no cart girl for 90 degree day. Restaurant after round mimics ski lodge/hunting cabin and is nice way to unwind after the round.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Yeah no water coolers is ridiculous. They gave me grief about bringing a soft cooler with Gatorade and water. Shame on them for sure. And to purchase something takes 5holes. No cooler on cart to keep cool and no beverage cart either. Was annoyed. Course great condition but due to this issue probably won’t go back.
