Pinelands Golf Club

Would have rated the staff higher but the ranger overstated his position. We were asked to pick up the pace. We were ahead of the posted time by 4 minutes. We were putting out while the group behind us was on the tee on a par 4 He stated the group in front of us was to far ahead of us.

The morning course ranger was very rude. Instead of reminding us to not drive in the woods, he was very condescending and asked us to read the card attached to the cart. This person needs a course in customer service as we are becoming regulars there with the numerous improvements.

Course ranger needs to learn how to talk to people. Not a pleasant guy at all. Cart guy was great.

I've hurt all good things about this course and how great it is since they refurbished everything - well I see some improvements but not enough to go aroundspreading how wonderful this course is. clubhouse very nice but I came here to play golf. Pace was very slow (left after 9 holes) it would have been a 51/2 hour day. the cart path was terrible. Some tee boxes were new and not fully ready . some bare spots throughout the roughs.

I haven't played Pinelands in about 2 years, mainly because of the distance from my home. I always enjoyed playing there but was pleasantly surprised at the vast number of improvements that have been made. The fairways are greatly improved as are the tee boxes. Everywhere I looked there was new sod and new grass. The greens were in excellent shape. The traps had sand. Signage was improved. The course was in excellent condition. There were improvements and an addition to the clubhouse. The bar/restaurant was updated and the weather was perfect for drinks on the patio. It seemed that everywhere I looked a recent improvement was noted. But the best thing about Pinelands is their staff. Friendly and helpful. Finally, a $44 green and cart fee for Veterans was greatly appreciated. I will make it a point to be back more often. It is worth the few extra minutes it takes to get there.

Pinelands has really improved over the last couple of years

I've golfed Pinelands many times. Upon hearing about some grandiose plans for improvements trying to be made at the club, I was worried that it would lead to a price increase which would take the course from my normal rotation to a once in a blue moon type of course. I think they found a great spot now. The tee boxes were immaculate and there have been some subtle changes to holes, but regulars will find it mostly familiar.

I'd still highly recommend it, but pace of play is typically not great. The staff does attempt to keep things moving, but sometimes I feel they overbook. As long as they remain at this current price point I look forward to coming back often!
