The new Pinelands
Course in great shape. All tees and greens open. Excellent course. Really great improvements. Only complaint was 5 some of kids choking up pace of play. Playing loud music. Taking selfies, dancing and clowning around. No respect
Nice condition
Greens and tee boxes best I have seen on a public course this year. Layout ok. Pace of play was slow, took 4: /2 hrs during a weekday.
Beginning of a new season
This is in great condition, and many of the upgrades have been applied. Many new tea boxes and greens are in great shape.
Must Play
Pinelands has done a wonderful transformation. They have redone all 18 tee boxes and greens. My 3rd time playing this year and keeps getting better each time I play there.
Solid Course & great restaurant
This is just a solid spot to play golf. Very fair track not far from Wharton State Park & the pine barrens. Played on a Saturday after some rain and the course still played great. Just the right mix of quirky vs straightforward holes. We really enjoyed the layout. Many of the holes are isolated which gives the Par 3s a nice vibe. The red-headed woodpeckers are huge and all over which was fun as well. Went to the restaurant after our round and had a great meal. Overall good experience, can’t wait to go back.
Front nine tees and greens open, back 9 tees open may 1st. They are in great condition, greens getting better every day, fairways are also growing in nice, not any rough around fairways, bring your credit card, cash not accepted on course, why not I don’t understand.
This course has improved immensely.
The day I played, the greens were still recovering from aeration process in the back nine tee boxes were temporary tees. Very nice course.
Course is improving greatly!
People want multi year changes overnight. Happy to support a course that is putting so much money back into making this a great track. Wish the clubhouse would accept cash but course is so much improved over last year already and excited to see the continual hard working coming into fruition
Front nine versus back nine
A lot of work done on front nine . Back nine still under construction but it helped my game by 10 shots over front nine so make the day excellent also price was right
Coming along great!
I’ve played this course over the years. During construction and temporary tees, this course was still great. Yesterday was the first time playing with regular tees and WOW do they make a difference. ( only played the front 9 ) The course layout is amazing, a short par 3 is now 200 yards. Tee boxes are pristine. Greens roll fast ( still some aeration ) Once this course is 100%, there is no doubt a go to course regularly. Even in its condition now, it’s worth the money.
Great Course
First time playing here and I had a great experience. Helpful staff, good pace of play, fun course that offers a good mix of both straightforward and challenging holes. I’ve seen some comments about the condition not being great in the past but when I played the course looked great. Some temp tee boxes on the back 9 but was told they’ll be ready to go in the next couple weeks. I look forward to come back here again soon!
A pleasurable golf experience
Great job with the tees and greens. I will be playing Pinelands many times this year. Staff friendly and helpful. 5 stars
April 2023 - Back Nine Still Under Construction
New tee boxes were in place, but only on the front nine were new tee boxes accessible. On the back nine, I was teeing off on uneven, patchy ground at best. Several modified tee boxes were moved 40 or more yards forward from the actual tee boxes, so it made for much shorter holes. Some areas surrounding tee boxes on the back nine were just bare dirt, as renovations are still ongoing. The fairways and greens were not cut, despite the practice green being cut, giving golfers a false representation of what was to come on their round. In my opinion, the increased greens fees were totally out of line considering the course conditions. Also, the snack shack at the turn does not accept CASH for purchases. Who does this? I won't be back until I hear they've completed all renovations. This place has great potential, but they still have a way to go.
Revised tee
First thing is had 9 yrs old grandson playing and course wouldn't allow a wawa bag with water on the course. It was a hot day and didn't want me grandson to dehydrated. Was to no cooler or bags allowed on course. Also modified tee boxes which meant all tee boxes were unavailable and green's were aerated and bumpy. Still payed full price. Very disappointing.
Temporary Tees
I really like Pinelands but playing in mid April was a disappointment due to temporary tees on every hole. Also, most greens had aerator marks on themI know they plan on opening the front soon but still a lot of work going on. I am sure when it is up and running review will improve
