Oak Shadows

I swore, TWICE, that I would never return to Oak Shadows because of SLOW PLAY, THE ALLOWANCE OF 5-SOMES and SELLING TEE-TIMES IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO GOLF OUTINGS.

But, I returned again and it was "same old, same old".

Our 1:24 tee-time was behind a large golf scramble. It took 1 hour to play the first 3 holes. You do the math.

We will NEVER, EVER return to Oak Shadows!

Whoever owns that course should be ashamed..

Oak Shadows has it all - challenging layout with well kept fairways and pristine greens, with just the right amount of slope. I like to play a variety of courses, but Oak Shadows is my favorite in eastern Ohio.

Given all the rain we have had this course was in excellent shape. Pace was just under 4:15 for a 4some, not too bad. Some bunkers were better than others, but given the weather we have had it was amazing that some of them were in excellent shape. We will play there again.

The helper at the desk was very nice as well.

here. Greens consistently good. Ample water

and sand, challenging but fair. Staff always

friendly. Good value for your money.

I’ve lived within an hour of this course almost my entire life, and yet I had never heard of it until recently. You can imagine my surprise when I showed up and saw this place. The course is fantastic! It has tremendous views and forces the player to utilize a variety of shots. We played from the gold tees, which plays about 7000 yards, and it really challenged us on a few holes. Do yourself a favor and play this course if you haven’t before. I’ll definitely be making another visit in the future!

A small pro shop with few amenities but a wonderful course to play.

Oak Shadows is a great public course, but they have a giant pace of play problem. Badly need a ranger to keep people moving. Had 7:48 tee time today. At 7:40 there were 2 4-somes on the tee box and the 4-some ahead was already on the green. Last Sunday had an afternoon tee time, left after 6 holes because there were 2 groups backed up on every hole. Embarrassing. Fix it!

Oak Shadows is a Fine Golf Course. It has man elevation changes throughout the course. A very few holes are easy. The majority have to be well thought out.

Fun layout with all kinds of shots. Greens roll great fairways are very nice. This is a well groomed course with a personality and plenty of length for all.

Great layout with fast smooth greens, decent fairways and a lot of water hazards makes for a really good round of golf.

Beautiful weather for a Fall Day of Golfing. Course in great shape. Craig is always the Best and Friendly. Enjoy playing this course, even though it is a challenge from time to time, close to home, never a problem getting onto the course, Craig is always accommodating. Price is good.

Played here several times. Always been in great condition except for a few inconsiderate people that don't repair their ball marks on the greens. Every holes is a different adventure and fun for the "pros" and hackers. We play here 2 -3 times a year and hope to continue doing so.

This is a great course that has some of everything. I found the course to be in good shape, especially the fairways. Also, it is good to see some sand still on the course as many courses are eliminating all sandtraps.

My son and I played Oak Shadows again, even though we have an almost two hour drive from our home, because we have never been disappointed in the venture. The course is beautifully laid out with nearby homes far from the distraction they are on many other courses. We play annually in the Myrtle Beach area, where some of the world's best courses are, and Oak Shadows ranks as a 9 out of 10 comparison for us. The only gripe we have (and this true every time we play, is the number of unrepaired pitch marks on the greens. During our round we repaired 6 or 7 fresh marks on every green - no hyperbole! If we had this quality of course in our Parkersburg, WV, area, that kind of inconsiderate indifference would not be tolerated. Still the fairways were smooth and short, the greens were true and testing, and the entire experience will cause to come back again next year.

Oak shadows is a very fun course to play. Each hole is unique in the greens are challenging. Conditioning is Top notch.
