Arrowhead Golf Club
About
Arrowhead Golf Club is an 18-hole public course in North Canton. The course is player friendly enough for all skill levels. It's not the most formidable test in the area but it's great for a quick and casual round. It's also an ideal layout for beginners who are just starting out since it provides a few challenges while not being overly punishing. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens. You won't find very much water throughout the golf course but it does come into play occasionally. One of the most memorable holes is a water hole. The green on the par-4 second hole is nearly an island green with a lake that borders it on three sides. Water also comes into play on the final hole.

Arrowhead Returns
Having lived, years ago, just off # 11 when Arrowhead was a private club and played there through the years under the name Fairways, I'm happy to say that Arrowhead is back as an excellent bargain for golfers (due to poor conditions I hadn't played it for 2 + years). The Blue tees play a little over 6,200, at a par 70, providing scoring opportunities as well as holes that bogy are a good score (#9 example). Teeing grounds were a little rough and greens not that fast, but with all the rain we've had that was expected.
Clean, friendly, fun and friendly
I am a beginning golfer, and when I first arrived, I thought I might be out of my 'class'. Finding the clubhouse to check in, was a little confusing - but staff could see that, and they were quick to offer help - welcome us in and show us around.
The only bad thing I can say about this course is the cart paths are horrible - almost looks like they are being torn up to hopefully be replaced. The course themselves though were beautiful. It was challenging, but so much that a beginner like myself couldn't handle it.
I will definitely be coming back here.
Good times!
My husband and I had a wonderful time on the course. We did have to wait a bit to tee off, but it was a Saturday morning with gorgeous weather so we didn't mind. Staff was very friendly and the course was in great condition. Nice lunch afterwards at the grille as well. We will be back!
Recommended but start early.
With all the rain this summer, course was in nice shape, but some places a little soft (no surprise). Biggest complaint is lack of a starter and ranger to keep pace moving. It slowed down a good bit around #14. By the time we finished around 12:45 it looked very backed up.
Not a bad track.
Found a 7:22 tee time for 2 at arrowhead on golfnow for cheap. Got out to the course around 7 and had the box to ourselves, and weren't forced to pair up. Got through the round in 3.5 hours, and enjoyed the course. Greens are in great shape, tee boxes could use a little sprucing. Overall, not a bad track for the price.
Just a great...
Time... Less than 4 hrs for 18, starter was a great guy, friendly staff, refreshment girl very nice, course was great, laid out well challenging but not U S Open ridiculous. Will definitely come back. Recommended highly
Friendliest staff in this area. Goes out of their way to accommodate their customers.
I find the staff to be professional and very courteous. The greens are exceptionally maintained and the golf carts are always at the ready. Clean and well maintained fairways.
Comfortable course for golfers of many handicaps; prices are reasonable.
Conditions were acceptable; grass in all fairways, greens rolled slow but smoothly. Bunkers had weed free sand in all areas. Pro shop was OK; grill room nicely kept. Cart paths are not in good shape at this time.
Sandwich from grill room was very good; service was painfully slow. At the turn from hole 9 to hole 10, it took 22 minutes to get one hot dog, one turkey sandwich, and 2 fountain cokes from the grill room staff and return to the 10th tee. In that time, two groups played through (including the two couples that jumped from hole 7 in front of us at hole 10). That increased the play time from the 2:20 the first 9 required to the over 3 hour 2nd 9 we had to endure. Quite disappointing.
It seems like they are letting the course go.
A 1:45 tee time turned into a 2:15 tee time, as there was no starter, just a long line of golf carts at hole #1 that mimicked a line for a ride at Cedar Point. We went on to play 9 holes in 2:45 minutes. The greens were nice, but you can tell the overall course quality is starting to slip. This used to be a hidden gem, but not currently.
Fun Course but busy...
It was a fun course and it has some great features, but it was bumper to bumper out there yesterday! Stop, go, stop, go... definitely playing under those conditions can throw one's game off!
Also, the course should have had a starter!!
Great value
Very good value, and well maintained course, specially fairway and rough area. YOu should be gently penalized if you're in rough. Green is not quite fast.
Excellent for the price!
I really enjoyed this course. Is a nice scenic course with enough difficulty to be challenging but not over the top. Recommend this course to anyone who enjoys golf.
Can't get any better than this.
The fairways are filling up and the greens are great. We had more fun this time than last week because we took our time and analyzed our shots. Plus there was nobody behind us hitting shots close to us. All in all this course is awesome.
they don't over price themselves like most courses
The greens were very respectable considering the rest of the course, the course looks alittle better each year
Course is well worth the money
This is an average course but for the Golfnow price it is money well spent.
overbooked
Three straight times at arrowhead the pace of play was amazingly slow. Didn't tee off until 25 min after my tee time. Will not play there on the weekend again
Hidden gem
What a great bang for the buck this course is! I especially enjoyed the elevation changes on the holes west of the clubhouse... some holes have more than one valley-peak in the fairway, which will really have you scratching your head for club selection.
Greens were in good condition.
The rough was either hard pan or 4 to 8 inch clumps of grass. The weather certainly has been good but if you get 3 feet off the fairway, it's pretty bad. There were crews out working on the course so hopefully things will improve soon.
Good course to play
My first time at the course. Was pleasantly suprized. Mature course, former country club that was enjoyable to play. I will go back again!
Slow play-need to pair up twosomes-especially weekends. More sand in bunkers!
