Arrowhead Golf Club
About
Arrowhead Golf Club is an 18-hole public course in North Canton. The course is player friendly enough for all skill levels. It's not the most formidable test in the area but it's great for a quick and casual round. It's also an ideal layout for beginners who are just starting out since it provides a few challenges while not being overly punishing. The holes are mostly straightforward with a few strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens. You won't find very much water throughout the golf course but it does come into play occasionally. One of the most memorable holes is a water hole. The green on the par-4 second hole is nearly an island green with a lake that borders it on three sides. Water also comes into play on the final hole.

Never again
There was a wedding happening , which means you can not go into the clubhouse for food. Someone will bring it out the back door and leave it on a table for you. Hole # 2 had so much sand and dirt on it it was like putting in a bunker. Number 13 green was like walking on mud. Only about 4 other greens were bad, the other 12 were acceptable Beer bottles and trash in the woods. We played to the wrong pin twice because we were confused, but that was our fault.
All and all it was my first tiem there, I frequent Spring Valley, Tannenhauf, Meadowlake, Skyland pine and Edgewater Great Trails , and the Pines. I have about 8 or 9 other courses in the area that i play occationally. I promise this one will not be one of them.
Poor course conditions
Thought I would check this place out, not far from Akron. I was very disappointed in the course....ball marks so bad on the greens that I don't think a single put rolled true. They sent us off in a foursome with three 2somes behind us and no where to let them play through to given the group in front of us was a 5 and terribly slow. No rangers checking pace of play. The only upside of this course was the drink cart girl. save your money there are a lot of nicer courses in the area.
Interesting layout
Arrowhead is conveniently located and has some nice holes, some of which are challenging due to the hilly terrain. It is a course that could be excellent with a little TLC. For the price, it is a good value overall. Friendly staff and nice resturant area with small outdoor patio with a nice view of 18 green.
Terrible Course
A buddy and I went expecting a nice course, but the place is poorly taken care of. The greens were terrible, muddy and cracked. The course is really crammed throughout. The tee boxes are all either sand or mud. There are holes all over the place. The staff was rude:condescending and tried to make us double pay (we had prepaid and they argued otherwise). Honestly the only good thing was that the Golf cart stayed running. Severely unsatisfied.
Seen Better Days
Arrowhead is an older, parkland style course that had once been a private club. Thus, it is a nice track, but it is tired and in need of a make over. The the turf on the fairways was patchy and many greens lacked some grass on their putting surfaces. The clubhouse is great and the food/beverages are reasonable. A sandwich and a soft drink was $6. The overall golf experience is a good, via a HotDeal.
Good Starter Course
Was the first time playing this course...greens were all over the place and dry. Overall it's worth the time/money.
Poor
Course was in very poor condition. Fairways very very spotty with not much grass. Greens where burnt out. Was very disappointed.
Course Conditions
I have played this course a lot over the last couple years. This was the worst condition that I have seen. The fairways were brown and had bad spots all over them. The greens were beat up as well with a lot of marks that made it tough to putt.
Bad greens!
Just sad we were excited to play and the place being so poor was sad
Well kept course
Played on a busy Saturday. Pace wasn't too bad. Course is kept in good condition. I would play again.
Keeps improving
I've played here for several years. The course has rebounded from mismanagement. It was not really cared for, but if you haven't played here in a while, try it. The layout is nice. Some holes are very demanding and take some good shotmaking. Great value on a Saturday morning.
Loud!
Seems like a lot of course maintenance in the afternoon making very distracting noises. Waiting on staff to move out of the to hit the next shot on several holes.
Course was in excellent condition
The world's slowest foursome wouldn't let me through even with 2 open holes ahead of them. When I asked to go through they angrily told me "no way". The course was great and in wonderful condition. Waiting on every shot was a bummer. The second shot on hole #2 was memorable because of the horseshoe shaped pond surrounding the green!
THIS WAS A GOOD COURSE
I REALLY ENJOYED THE ROUND. I WAS PAIRED WITH FUN PEOPLE. THE WEATHER WAS A LITTLE COLD. THE FAIRWAYS WERE IN GOOD SHAPE AND SO WAS THE GREENS.
Hiding out during the week
I booked this tee time on Golf Now the day before and got a super time at a great price. Although the course seemed to be pretty crowded, we had no trouble playing 18 holes in 3-1/2 hours. Super time. I'll be back.
Best Bang for Buck all Summer!!
First of all excellent Staff. Dan is very friendly and helpful and takes a lot of pride in the course. Course is fun, professional, and there is a public Bar and Pub when your done!
Arrowhead Golf
First time I played here after relocating from Cincinnati. I will say the course was fairly easy and flat. I was able to take my 7 year old out. The pace of play was excellent, we weren't pushed. I will certainly play here again.
Nice course to play.
I play this course often and enjoy the layout. My only complaint was the slow pace of the two-some in front of us. They were at least two holes behind the two-some in front of them. I never saw a ranger come out and check on the pace. That is the only complaint I have about this round.
Make sure to call befor you go
I booked for a 330 tee time drove 35 mins to play when I got there there was 2 leagues going on. The staff said "well I was gonna call ya but just figured I'd wait till you got here to tell you you can't play here because of the leagues." So if you make a reservation here call before you go.
