Worn and disappointing
They upgraded the course but have not kept up with the maintenance. Horrific fairways, slow greens, Rutted and worn.
Pace of Play management
I booked this course the evening prior only to arrive and discover that the start did not even have my party on the tee list.
Then I was told that Tee Times were running 20 mins behind because they were hosting a Firemen's Golf Outing.
Why the course would offer T Times on Golf Now when an outing was underway.....I don't understand.
My Tee Time was for 11:12 and my party started play at 11:30. We were the 2nd to the last group behind the last foursome in the outing they were hosting. It took 2 hours and 30 minutes to play 9 holes.
Besides the pace of play management, the course was in good shape, fairway and greens were nice. Staff was very friendly.
course was cart path only. wasn't noted on golf now that it was. a lot of courses don't tell you that until you get there. must have gotten a lot of rain or doesn't drain very well and hadn't been cut in a while
Cart path only
I have bad knees and it was very hard to croas over to other side
SpringVale Busy Tuesday
The course is in good shape, although we did struggle with ball search in the rough, which is thick & the ball just sinks down making for difficult finds. Greens were a bit slow, but Hey, its Spring & weather has not cooperated with consistency either. The course was busy, with 100p by noon, and heavy League Play after 4pm. Starters did a fine job, but had their hands full. Springvale is convenient location & nice little course. Keep it in the fairway & you'll enjoy the day. 19th Hole is nice & inviting, so tally up the score with a cold one.
Super high rough
Course was in pretty good shape considering the vast amount of rain last week. Rough was not cut however and very penal but overall in pretty good shape considering weather.
Springvale 11/3
I played the course alone with a 10:40 Golf Now tee time. The lady I registered with the course said the course was closed until noon due to wetness and that Golf Now should have contacted me. The course management let me play under strict cartpath rules and I had an enjoyable but wet round. You should provide cell numbers of golfers to the course for occasions such as these. Your email at 11:00 when I was on #3 did neither the course nor me any good.
Starters need some classes
When we made the turn the starter let a guy and his young son out in front of us...... once he was out of view of the club house he let his son play the round. Taking 10-12 swings in the fairway while we waited on the tee box. He never let us play through and totally ruined an enjoyable front nine. I gave pace of play 2 stars because the front went well. But the back(because of the starter) was awful at best.
