worst play
time between tee offs were only 4min apart. we were confronted by some drunken and obnoxious players ahead of us. called the club house for the ranger and the ranger did come out. problem was, he was close to 80yrs old. what was he going to do to take care of these drunken men. will never golf there again.
Excellent greens
Apart from a few difficult holes, the greens are what account for most of the difficulty for this course. They are undulating and fast. Need to be in the right position on the greens to par.
Good course
Not an expensive course. The rough is thick. The course has fought to keep up with the mowing during this wet spring. I look for the course quality to improve as it starts to dry out. The greens are not flat but fair.
Great value for really good golf at Springvale
I have played here a few times, and each time I feel like the course gets better. Staff there continue to improve the grounds and the off-course facilities have all that you need. The sand traps on hole 18, however, need a little work. Overall, great place to play golf.
Slow Plat, They Added 2 our group and got on our case for slow play.
So we booked a 2some and there was nowhere that states a foursome had to go out. There was also nothing that stated that this was a Fast play reservation. We were playing a normal pace. It was cart path only. Super wet out which made it even slower. The way the staff talked to us was very odd. I am an 11 handicap golfer that belongs to the local country club as well. I think that I know educate on the golf course. I feel very insulted for how it was handled and will not be returning to this course.
Great Course
Great course! I encourage anyone that hasn't plate here to book a round. You couldn't ask for more on a Sunday in February!
Nice course
Have not played here in a while, forgot how nice it really is.
Value for the money
Th ecourse was in excellent condition especially considering the weather we have had this year.
Nice, local course
Look - I will start by saying this is not a "top" course in the area, but I find myself playing a lot of rounds here. Why? It is solid, usually fairly inexpensive, and holds up well in all kinds of weather... plus the staff is usually nice and uses common sense in how they let people off of the course.
Greens and complexes are subtly raised (good for drainage) and tough on shots - all have subtle breaks and putting isn't the easiest. The layout is pretty simple. There are some short holes, great holes (Par 5 #11), and some boring ones.
All in all - a great place to play that is close to the city. Would be great if they had a range! We paid $45 on a Sunday which is a little more than I would like to spend, but commonly pay $25-30 during the week, which is fair.
I would recommend, but if it is over $35, you should temper your expectations.
Friendly staff,good location,well maintained
Great local course with good pace of play. The staff was very welcoming and the course was in great shape
Springvale is always in great shape.
I always enjoy playing at Springvale. It's not long but you can hit all of your clubs. The par 3s are legit. The course always seems to be in great shape. The greens are smooth and the traps are well maintained. (Many courses don't seem to care about raking their traps.). Overall, a great place to play.
This course has good features
Have played this course a couple of times in May. Overall it's a decent course with fast greens. Only complaint would be the rough was too rough, however I will play there again. Good course to work on your game.
Nice Place for the Price
Nice course for the area and the price, can't beat Golf Now, they are the best! Play was very slow, however, a few kids and ladies groups which is fine on Mother's Day, just wish it was planned a little better.
Enjoyable round
Course was wet but that's just Cleveland weather. Staff was friendly. They did book a women's league on a Saturday morning which is not a good idea but it worked out ok. Great deal for the hot deal we got on golfnow
Springvale good value. Greens in good shape and fast. Course is very good shape and after rain the day before was in great shape.
