Great course
One of my favorite courses in the area. Good layout, and well taken care of.
Great old track
This is a really old (1899) public track. I have played here since the 1970's. It is very tight in spots but it is short (5,000 yards). Conditions are mixed. The greens are probably the best part they roll pretty well and are in good shape. Unfortunately you have a lot of inconsiderate players that don't fix ball marks so I was fixing 4-5 on every green. Tees are a little furry and fairways were mostly good. Pace of play was good. For the money its a fun track. The gentleman checking in was very pleasant as were the other golfers on the course
Hidden Gem - Ottawa Park Public Golf Course
In my experience, city-owned golf courses are not taken care of as well as Private in/Courses. Not true of Ottawa Park! Both times I played the course, it was immaculately maintained from the putting greens, through all 18 holes, and the course layout way challenging in a good way. Another benefit for us high-handicap duffers is that many of the Par 4’s are shorter than thee traditional length, making it easier to reach the green in 2. I highly recommend OPGC to anyone, whether new to golf or mid to high handicap’s.
Enjoyed the course
I'm from out of town and decided to try this course after walking the path through it a few weeks ago. I thought it was a really nice course; not extra hard for a very average golfer like me, but certainly not easy. Will definitely be coming back.
It was a very nice course and I enjoyed the hospitality of the people. Great price for 9 holes. Will play again
Enjoyable afternoon, a tad bit over priced!
It was way overpriced for this area. I love the course but at those prices I will not be back.

Nice course with good value
This was my third time playing this course so I was familiar with this course. Most par 3 are on the very short side, but there are a variety of hole distances that allow you to use multiple clubs in your bag. It is getting late in the season so some tee boxes were a little beat up, as well as some fairways with multiple dry/bare patches. The greens appeared to be in great shape. Also, since fall is approaching there are a few holes where the tree leaves on the ground will make it nearly impossible to find your ball. I still like this course as it's not too difficult and for the price it is hard to beat.
Challenging Quaint Course
I typically choose to golf this course 1-2 times a year. It may be an older, shorter course, but it has a lot of challenging holes. It has multiple sand traps, different elevations, many tree-lined fairways, and a few water obstacles. The day I went, but it was a bit slow. Fortunately, you can find shade near each tee box to park your cart while waiting. Being a public course, you will encounter various degrees of golfers - from beginners to seasoned veterans. The care of the course has improved over the past few years. I trust that will continue. Overall, it's worth the 4 hour round.
Oldest course west of New York!
A classic, short par 4s course, with fun par 3s and a few nice par 5s that take you for a loop! Always enjoy playing and the carts are newly updated so you can charge your phone and speaker!
