Split Rock Golf Club
About
Split Rock Golf Club was carved from the rolling countryside of northern Pickaway County. Its picturesque design is perfectly in sync with the natural surroundings. Designed by the local design team of Michael Hurzdan and Dana Fry, the golf course actually required little manipulation since much of the challenge comes from the natural features of the undulating terrain. The layout has slightly different nines that offer a diversity that appeals to a range of skill levels. The front nine is more open and forgiving while the back nine has tighter fairways that are lined with trees. Water is not a prominent presence at Split Rock Golf Club but it does come into play. In addition to the golf course, golfers are welcome to use the driving range and putting greens before teeing off.

Wednesday Play in the Country
Friendly staff. Course condition good considering lack of rain. Sand traps were flat or muddy. No good lies in the traps. Greens could have been better repaired and tee boxes were very dry.
Overall a good experience. We let four groups play through as two were singletons and two were pairs. Still finished in 4 1/2 hours.
Bar area should have more beer varieties.
Hidden Gem
Very interesting with Hills and turns ..the par 5’s 7 and 18 are challenging but fun! Affordable it is where I take my kids so I don’t break the bank!
Cart paths and carts are great.
Other than carts and paths the course itself is unchanged meaning tee boxes are terrible, greens are the worst I’ve played on the entire year, the rough and even the fairways are very hard and many many bare spots. I know we have not had much rain however these conditions are the norm for Split Rock and I have played this course many times over the years. Other courses I have played recently are in much much better condition despite the lack of rain. Split Rock needs a much better irrigation system and the greens improved to take to where it needs to be. If you do want to play here April and May are the best months to play. I will not be going back this year.
Nice
Nice course, friendly staff, plays short I thought good for new golfers with less distance on their swing. Pace of play was absolutely brutal though. There was a dual then a foursome in front of us and a dual behind us all waiting 5-10 minutes to tee off on every hole. Other than that it was vary enjoyable round of golf
16 challenging holes
Course was in amazing condition. Got heavy rain at 16 and had to call it quits. I will definitely be back!! Great Value. New cart path and gps onboard was great. Good job guys.
Great course, great bargain
It was in the low 90’s when we played yesterday. The course was somewhat crowded despite the weather, thus we had to wait most holes. The carts are very nice with great readout of distance to the pen.
We enjoyed our outing and recommend this course.
Great course!
Beautiful course with varied holes. Fairly flat on the front and hilly on the back 9. Course is in great shape, but watch out for the rough. It is long and hard to locate your ball. Will definitely play here again!
