Great course and price
Great course for the money. It was in great shape and I played very quickly. Great course
The pines
Great greens. Like putting on glass. Pace of play was great for a holiday
The Pines
Great little golf course! Fun and not too difficult if you are just going out with the family.
nice course
the course was in good condition greens were in great shape, fast play was great!
The Pines is always a good course
There was an outing in front of us, but even with that is was a quick morning and the course is in very good shape as always, tight fairways, and the greens are excellent. Any time you get a chance you should play this course.
enjoy playing the course itself but....
pace of play very disappointing. bunkers need attention mainly being they do not have enough sand. not a tough fix.
Great course in the middle of no where...
This course is not badly priced. It is in very good condition. Greens are well taken care of. Quality Ball Cleaner at every hole. Some Challenging holes with lots of hills. Overall a lot of fun.
Narrow fairways
Beautiful course that I had the opportunity to play thanks to a golfnow.com hot deal. The course was well maintained, with narrow fairways that required accuracy off the tee. The greens were very sandy today, but I had no complaints as I only used 30 putts for 18 holes. The track was long enough that you had to use every club in your bag, but short enough that you could be rewarded with a good score, so long as your shots were accurate.
Overall, it was a nice afternoon of golf, and I look forward to playing the course again in the future.
Great course
Beautiful course ! Friendly staff ! Highly recommend.. Will play over n over !
narrow fairways on alot of holes
I enjoyed the course . Not alot of hidden greens . relatively flat . Well maintained , greens putted true for a public course .
The Pines
We enjoyed the course and drinks in the restaurant afterward. Hole #2 needs weeds removed in the fairway.
Pleasant surprise
Course was very nice, although a little out of the way to get to. Well maintained tree lined fairways and very nice greens. Pace dragged at first but we flew through the back nine. Finished in 3 H & 50 M. Much nicer than the average publlic course. Amenities were reasonable. One surprise was that our cart didn't have any sand/seed mixture so we had trouble repairing broken up divots. Purists should be advised that the majority of golfers, while polite and considerate when immediately around them, almost universally did not repair ball marks on greens or make any attempt to repair fairway divots. There is also no apparent dress code enforced. More than half the golfers we observed were in jeans or cut offs and tees or tank tops. We obsereved one golfer wearing sandles.
For the money it was a nice course to play. We will defintely play in again.
Nice Rural course
Nice layout, well maintained, fast greens, nice fairways, not too tight, lots of mature trees, some water hazards, little short from the whites.
Nice course in out of way place
One of my favorite courses. Very well maintained. Greens are semi fast and roll smooth. Great course for all skill levels. Staff is courteous and friendly. Would definitely recommend this course
This is a great local course-diamond in the rough.
The Pines always seems to be in good condition, but they seem to have made it even better. The greens are in excellent shape- true and receptive. The narrow tree lined fairways mowed nice, roughs not too thick, plants and foliage healthy. great shape. Course rating perfect, a good time.
If I lived nearby, I would play more often.
The greens and bunkers are kept in good condition. The fairways are a bit tight and are outlined by many trees. Besides being in the middle of nowhere, I would recommend the course. The only negative is the course needs to be better manicured. There were many areas between holes that needed raking as they left the previous days grass cuttings.
Find it, and it's a gem!
The Pines is completely surrounded by Wayne Cty farming community. Kind of tough to find the first time, but once you do, it's a course you'll want to play again. Older design, several straight holes, but greens are large and well-kept. Fairways are well-defined with some bunkering. Staff at the course are very kind to all and create a nice atmosphere for weekend play. Although I'm not a fan of a course that finiishes with a par-3, the par-3 18th is a real challenge. Not that long, but requires a great swing to an elevated green guarded by trees and bunkers. Make par there and whatever else happened out there doesn't matter. Play The Pines. You'll enjoy it.
Great looking course and greens very nice
My friend I had a great day and Course was well maintained and greens where in excellant shape......A must play
outstanding and friendly staff
The Pines is one of my favorite public courses in Northeast Ohio. The course provides interesting holes, is not prohibitively long, and is well maintained.
Always nicely maintained, fun layout, good staff
Local player since high school, The Pines has always been a favorite of the golf options in Wayne County. Gentle hills make for scenic shots (5, 6, 9, 18) and although short plenty of bend in the hole layout makes sure its not just a bomb and gouge course. Plenty of mature trees line many of the holes and the greens and fairways are typically in great shape. Friendly staff and a nice little clubhouse.
