Conditions
Ground conditions are very horrible for this time of year. Seems like they haven't touched the fairways all summer. More dirt than grass... not worth the price.
Great Day to golf
Course was in excellent condition. Greens were fast even early. Completed 18 in under 4 hours. Nice bar area over looks 10-11-12. Relaxing atmosphere with great food.
Golf was very very burnt out. You were better off playing in the rough than in the fairway.
Nice course, good value
First time playing here, overall, I enjoyed the round. Lot of fairways with bare ground, looks like the grass was killed off by large amounts of water in spring, but still ok to hit off of.
Greens and tee boxes in great shape. The greens putted true. I will play here again.
Character and challenge
This course definitely has character. There were many challenging holes were you need to place the ball in the correct side., even on the short par 4's.
The fairways were pretty bad. Many had little grass. With some care and maintenance this golf course could be much better.
We are planning on going back maybe next year in the spring hoping the conditions are better.
Fast greens
Our last visit to this course we experienced an extremely rude individual and we left without playing. Thought we'd give it a try one more time. Holy Moly, the staff was great. The course was in fair shape, fairways could use some help with dead spots. Caution: the greens are slick as ice on a pasture pond. All in all, a fun course.
Very friendly staff and accommodating
The course is very playable for seniors and younger crowd also. The price cannot be beat, they let you tee off ahead of your tee time and the snack bar food/drinks are very reasonably priced.
Great value
Good shape considering the wet year it has been. Green's rolled well and were in good shape. Big fan of the flag placement cards!
Let's talk!
Great course to play! Had great time. I will definitely be back.
Love the par 3 #5
Omg first time playing this course and had my first hole in one on #5!!!
Always enjoyable to play
Course is always in good condition with greens being the highlight. Greens hold balls and putt true and a bit on the fast side. Layout is interesting with challenging par 3 holes that require accurate tee shots to provide chance at par. Par 4s vary in length from easily reachable with short irons to some requiring longer approach shots. Par 5s not overly long and provide birdie opportunities. Water comes into play on several holes.
Only bad point of golf course are the bunkers. They are cut clean and well-defined areas, they just need to be raked deep and perhaps more and better sand to make them even playable. When we played, the ball always funneled to low part of bunker and playing from them was similar to hitting off a cart path. Packed and pretty much rock hard.
Great Day at The Pines
First time playing the The Pines and it did not disappoint. My Dad and I had beautiful weather and the course was in great shape. Played the back 9 holes with absolutely no problems with pace of play. Definitely looking forward to getting back out there!
