About
Located adjacent to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Safari Golf Club was carefully carved from mature forests. This tight course is not particularly long, but it has a varied design that appeals to a number of different tastes and skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and water hazards on several holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking treacherously beside the greens. The golf course starts off with a challenging par 4 that features a dramatic drop from the tee to the green. It finishes with two demanding par 4s as well. The 17th and 18th holes both feature a slew of challenges including rolling, tree-lined fairways and tricky stream crossings. Although it presents a formidable test on some holes, Safari Golf Club's hazards are straightforward with no surprises.

Great shape but tight layout
The course is in great shape but there are a lot of people on the course which is a tight layout so you feel as if balls are flying around you at all times. Pace of play was good until the back nine which I think has to do with the 10th hole not close to the club house.
Very nice track
Bang for your buck—this is it right here. :35 drive for me and I’ll make the drive bc it’s a fun course w excellent conditions. No complaints!
Weather prrrfect at the jungle course
Had a most enjoyable morning at Safari. The golfnow rate along with a few rewards made the rate very entertaining. The tee time was extremely early to assure a pace of play only mine and not dictated by others. The course is in excellent condition with traps on the very ready to play status. I was paired with 3 folks who moved along as I liked to do. While we didn’t need a ranger to move us along we had one come by a few times which gave me comfort knowing the course would be concerned about slow play and tell you about it if needbe. Safari has added on many amenities to accomodate outings and attract large gatherings. While this course does get a lot of play you would not know it by the condition it maintains. There is a few crossover holes that are very well marked to assure you don’t get lost in the process. Had a great time and will be back when the rate meets my fancy...

This track is one of the best in the area, especially for the money!! Worth the drive! Have fun!!!!!!
Sweet
Sweet little course. Everything was in great condition for a high-traffic public course in mid-summer. Holes are short, greens are soft and hold shots. Had a ball today.
Safari is sweet
This is a terrific track! I can’t wait to play when it’s dry and can properly evaluate the course. Played 8/4 so wet!!
Great Clubhouse amenities
Course was in good shape greens were fast greens fairways were all good 95% of the tee boxes are in excellent shape.
Fun course
Fun Course. Was surprised to go as a pair and being set up with another pair during the age of CoVid. However it was fine and have a good time on the course.
Poor Customer Service
I took a foursome to the course Sunday July 12th with a 2 pm tee time and booked through golf now. We were able to get 9 holes in prior to rain ending our day. I asked the pro shop worker for a rain check so we could return and play again because it’s a nice course. I was told that due to booking on golfnow i had to contact them for the refund. My primary concern here is the course will be paid by golfnow so why would you make a customer go through that just to return to your course another time ? The other problem with this is I went to golf now and there is no way to contact them via phone for a refund just an automated guy that walks you through how to do it on the app and the app doesn’t provide the steps to complete this process. So now four players are out 9 holes because the course wouldn’t just provide a rain check for money they received anyway.

Always fun
Safari is the right amount for challenge and forgiveness. If you find the fairway you almost always have a shot at the green if you are in the rough you may be trying to find a way around some trees.
Great deal
We had a 10am tee time today. Arrived a little after 9am and the parking lot was already full. Pro shop attendants were really friendly and helpful. Good value ($12) for a large (108) bucket of range balls. The putting and chipping greens were in great condition. The starter was friendly, and effective. He did a good job getting people out on the course.
Our round started off slow and we did have to wait on every hole at first. Things started to pick up on the back 9. We finished our round in 4 hours (felt longer, but probably due to the heat).
The fairways were in great shape as were the greens which rolled a little slow for my liking. Had a fun time and will be back.
