About
Located adjacent to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Safari Golf Club was carefully carved from mature forests. This tight course is not particularly long, but it has a varied design that appeals to a number of different tastes and skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and water hazards on several holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking treacherously beside the greens. The golf course starts off with a challenging par 4 that features a dramatic drop from the tee to the green. It finishes with two demanding par 4s as well. The 17th and 18th holes both feature a slew of challenges including rolling, tree-lined fairways and tricky stream crossings. Although it presents a formidable test on some holes, Safari Golf Club's hazards are straightforward with no surprises.

I was pleasantly surprised and both my wife and I enjoyed playing there today - having the course mostly to ourselves , made it quite enjoyable for us

Such a great course. Challenging for sure with the need for well placed tee shots and great putts. Got a little backed up on the back but will play again for sure.
Poor and Unenthusiastic Service - Nice Course
Golf course is fantastic. People on the phone and working in house need to be re-evaluated. Kindness, humility and/or typical people skills go a long way. Will not return soon and do not recommend because of the service. If remedied, course and location are very nice.
Fun Course
They changed the course about ten years ago. Changed some holes and added three new ones. It's a fun place to play, convenient and the staff is always friendly.
You won't mistake it for a US open layout, but for a golfer looking to get out and enjoy a round it's perfect.
Impressed 1st Timer
1st time played the course & was pleasantly surprised by how really good everything was at Safari. Staff was friendly from the sales counter to the starter & rangers. Course was in great shape & enjoyed the diverse & meandering layout. Friend I played w hadn’t been there since the re-design & his level of enjoyment equaled mine. Affordability resulted in a great golf value & play. Look forward to next round there.

Me and my dad came here for our first time today. We were really impressed. The course was in great shape and the grounds were well kept. Would for sure come back and play again!
Surprised in a good way!
I recently moved to the Dublin area. Was looking for a place to get out and play last minute. I drove to the Safari course hoping to give my $35 green fee to the zoo but not expecting much. First of all, the service was great at check in—-thanks Chad! But nothing compared to the outstanding condition of the course! Tee boxes were in great shape, the greens were outstanding(divot repair is always a problem a public courses), fairways had great grass, and the rough was an appropriate height for a public course and wasn’t patchy.
I may be new to the area but will be surprised if I find a public course that is in as good of shape as this course—especially For the price.
Holes 17, 18, and 1 were terrific layouts. All three holes could be put on any course.
Overpriced dog track
No walking rate, no junior rate, no 9 hole rate until after 4. I wanted to play walk 9 holes With my daughter at a 2:30 time and it was $90. For a low rate course with slow greens, shaggy fairways and zero amenities. Kinda like paying $5 for a bottle of water at the zoo. Disappointing a course owned by the Columbus zoo isn’t more junior friendly. Probably the perfect track if you play once a year and wear cutoffs.
Suggest driving out to any of the other great public courses in the area for a better experience at a better price. Darby Creek, cooks Creek, royal America, Indian Springs or even a city course

Nice course with friendly staff
Enjoyed the round today. Cup slid up devise was a little awkward Greens were in great shape but front of a couple greens were very soft. Felt very safe at facility.
Rangers
Wasn't very happy with being rushed! I'm 57 years old and it was "cart path only" and course wasn't bad at all so I had to obey course rules and walk to my next shot, someone or rangers didn't like our pace of play mind you we played 9 holes in just over 2 hours with basically walking front 9 so we where asked to pick up pace or take a voucher for back 9 we refused and finished at our on pace. So my overall rating is average due to if your not a young guy and play at a furious pace not the place for us
Plague playing
Course was in good shape with only the usual wet areas with our record rainfall. Tee times worked well and people were good with social distancing
Great golf!
Course and Staff are as wonderful as the weather today. Despite this Covid19 moment, this course made me feel SAFE, and happy and free to be outdoors and enjoy this game I love. Also, a Bogey,Birdie,Birdie,Par Start made the review easy for 5 Stars. Thanks Ty and Rachel. Keep up the great work during this challenging time of our life.
