About
Located adjacent to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Safari Golf Club was carefully carved from mature forests. This tight course is not particularly long, but it has a varied design that appeals to a number of different tastes and skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and water hazards on several holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking treacherously beside the greens. The golf course starts off with a challenging par 4 that features a dramatic drop from the tee to the green. It finishes with two demanding par 4s as well. The 17th and 18th holes both feature a slew of challenges including rolling, tree-lined fairways and tricky stream crossings. Although it presents a formidable test on some holes, Safari Golf Club's hazards are straightforward with no surprises.

Really good shape
Played 18 with a friend from Oregon and he really liked the course. The conditions of the course were very nice and the weather was even better.
Friendly staff and good pace of play
The staff were friendly from check in to tee time. The course us in great shape, nice practice range. Pace of play is a little slow. More likely players trying to find their golf balls.
Keep it in the short grass
Somewhat a slow play day, mostly due to the thick rough, whereas we spent a lot of time searching for balls that missed the fairways. Never seem so many balls so hard to find, some were found by stepping on them. The balls would settle down and become hidden in the thick rough. The rough was nice looking, just thick, but no weeds. But overall the course was in good shape..
Good place
Course was in very good shape. Rough thick in spots but not from lack of care. Great staff. Little bit slow the day we played but still a good pace of play. I'll definitely play there again.
Good Value
This is a good course. Fairways are tight, but rough isn’t terrible. The greens were very compacted, and we played right after some decent rain.
Rank your bunkers please
Greens are notoriously hard to predict... Also some small greens and you might need a hard hat on some of the holes. You'll be hearing "fore" a lot on the weekends.
Good course, slow play
Course condition and layout great, if you play on a weekend expect a 5+ hour round
Hit’em straight
The course was green and plush and played nicely if you hit the fairways. If you miss the fairway, the rough is high and difficult to hit out of if you could find your ball at all. I normally play gold tees but was paired up with group that played white so I did also. Forced me to hit some mid-irons I haven’t hit in a while and scored a little higher because of that, but all in all a course I’ll play again when back in the area.
Good course
I played as hot deal and staff slowed me to play alone due to walking myself. Course condition was very good and clean and welll maintained.
