About
Grantwood Golf Course is one of the best golf values in the greater Cleveland area. The course sits next to Timberlake Recreation Park, a scenic park with a large fishing lake and picnic areas that are perfect for outdoor gatherings. The layout features small, undulating greens that are protected by more than 40 strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on 10 holes in the form of a meandering creek and several ponds. The golf course is a challenging-but-fair test for players of all skill levels. Beginners and high handicappers won't be intimidated by long forced carries and won't have to worry about losing balls on every hole. Grantwood Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and the tees are in close proximity, making this a perfect layout for walking.

Doing it right
Staff was friendly, which wasn’t always the case in the past. Only played 9 and they put us off back 9, also not done in the past. Walked in around 1 1/2 hours, pretty casual pace. I am a fan of any course that puts pace of play as a priority, and some nice holes. Like par 3 12th, severe green so stay below cup.
Nice layout good prices
Grantwood has a nice layout of holes that are challenging but fun at the same time
The back nine has some tough holes that will test your overall game
The course is in good shape and I he greens are decent
I recommend Grantwood as a good value at a fair price
Fun course, need to work on tee time management
I was the first off the tee this morning, playing solo while riding a cart. Course was in great shape, but they did a poor job of managing the morning tee times as they were sending groups of 4 off the back nine. I got through the front in an hour and ten minutes, only to have to wait 10 minutes on the tee box for a group of 4 to tee off on the back 9. I ended up playing through after 10 but then were waiting again on 15 for a group of 2 who they also put on the back. Should know better about sending groups on the back to start when they know there are groups on the front 9 already teeing off, caused a back up.
Great conditions
Course was in great shape despite lots of recent rain. Par threes were quite a challenge from the tips. Tough but fair. Fairways and greens in great condition.

Rained out at Grantwood
I had a 2:00 pm tee time unfortunately the pro-shop called and said the course was closed because of flooded greens.
Fun course to play
Shorter course around 6000 yards, could really score if you play well. Fun to play and in nice condition. Prices are fair. There was no starter when I played so it was a little disorganized on the first tee, but you can probably blame that on covid.
Busy
It was quite busy yesterday however understandably so due to frost. Greens and fairways are still super fast. But I still enjoy this course.
Expected more
After reading all the glowing reviews about this course I thought it would be something special. Turns out it was really nothing to get excited about. The greens were very slow compared to most courses. The fairways were very nice though . Thank god for signs saying were the next tees were. I’m glad we went just to get that itch scratched, but not worth the one hour 25 minutes trip from Hubbard.
