About
Grantwood Golf Course is one of the best golf values in the greater Cleveland area. The course sits next to Timberlake Recreation Park, a scenic park with a large fishing lake and picnic areas that are perfect for outdoor gatherings. The layout features small, undulating greens that are protected by more than 40 strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on 10 holes in the form of a meandering creek and several ponds. The golf course is a challenging-but-fair test for players of all skill levels. Beginners and high handicappers won't be intimidated by long forced carries and won't have to worry about losing balls on every hole. Grantwood Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and the tees are in close proximity, making this a perfect layout for walking.

Nice course, I'll visit again
I enjoyed this course. The course is not exceptionally difficult but very well maintained and a fun course. In terms of play, it has a creek that comes into play in many of the holes, some strategically placed bunkers and a few small ponds. Some of the holes are beautiful to look out at. In terms of walking, it is mostly flat, with only a few hills to climb.
Inside the clubhouse are items to purchase (note it is cover-19 time), no food, a few cheap beers, and a grumpy old guy who doesn't seem to care that you entered the building or that you exist. The other staff seems a bit friendlier. Nonetheless, I like this course, I have played it several times, and look forward to playing it again.
Consistently great
I have played Grantwood a few times a year for the past 8 years and it is consistently well maintained. The greens are good sized so you don’t feel like you’re pitching onto a postage stamp. The course layout is fun with a lot of variations in elevation. Don’t be surprised how long a short par 3 can play and there are multiple holes where you have to club up. This course is a great value for the money.
GOOD course - ABSOLUTELY POOR customer service - NO FOOD
I typically LIKE Grantwood. The course is laid out nicely and challenges the player. HOWEVER, the minute you walk in the clubhouse (mask required) you are not greeted, you are just looked at by some grumpy retired guy making minimum wage and hating the world it seems. It happened to be a VERY warm day, making the turn, coukd not ger a bag of ice, could not get a cup of ice, VERY RUDE ( PAID 41.00 TO PLAY). Because of that I would NEVER recommend ANYONE I know to play there.
P.S. I'm a 5 handicap, travel courses, play 4 days a week, NEVER at Grantwood again.

Confused!!!!!
So when you are one of the first groups off in the morning and you make the turn to grid lock. There was a walking 4 some that was sent off the back 9 in front of us and slowed down the pace of play considerably. Not good course management.
Doing it right
Staff was friendly, which wasn’t always the case in the past. Only played 9 and they put us off back 9, also not done in the past. Walked in around 1 1/2 hours, pretty casual pace. I am a fan of any course that puts pace of play as a priority, and some nice holes. Like par 3 12th, severe green so stay below cup.
