About
Grantwood Golf Course is one of the best golf values in the greater Cleveland area. The course sits next to Timberlake Recreation Park, a scenic park with a large fishing lake and picnic areas that are perfect for outdoor gatherings. The layout features small, undulating greens that are protected by more than 40 strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on 10 holes in the form of a meandering creek and several ponds. The golf course is a challenging-but-fair test for players of all skill levels. Beginners and high handicappers won't be intimidated by long forced carries and won't have to worry about losing balls on every hole. Grantwood Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and the tees are in close proximity, making this a perfect layout for walking.

Course is in really good condition!
Played a quick 9 holes with my son. With all the rain we’ve had in NE Ohio, the course was in terrific shape. Some bunkers had standing water, but fortunately I missed all of those. Happy with my 44!
Flat and slow, but fun
First time playing this course. Front nine has lots of long wide fairways while back nine has several narrow ones., both scattered with some interesting par 3s. The course is pretty flat but has water, fescue, and interestingly placed sand traps, Surprisingly well maintained course with nice amenities. However, the pace of play is pretty slow- at almost 5 1/2 hours for 18 holes. I was disappointed that there were no ball cleaners out however. Many players are local and I saw a lively bunch of people in the pro shop.
Overall a nice course, with players of all skill levels.
Good course
First tee time off around 630, so pace of play not an issue. Lots of rain last month, course was lush but obviously some bunkers were washed out and cart path only. I played from back tees, and other guys played white. Love what they did, so many of the white tees were 25-75 yards closer than they used to be which made it much more fun and quick for them. Great idea.

Very nice course. Play moved along just fine. I will definitely play here again.
A local gem
We’ve been so glad to have found Grantwood. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The course is challenging enough to make it fun. The course has been as well maintained as possible, given our non stop rain and cold weather. We love and recommend it!!
Spring golf
Nice course!! Still very wet from excessive rain. Rough was unplayably long but rest of course was great.

Like a swamp. Very unprofessional to open under such conditions. RUINED MY SHOES!

Well worth trying
Grantwood looks like a flat course wehn you drive up. It isn't. Not hilly, but there is some terrain that comes into play. It has some nice long holes. Good hazards (#3 water makes it very interesting - approach HAS to carry the pond). This is a great course for the average or intermediate golfer. The greens are well maintained and very puttable. There are some marvelous holes for senior golfers that are challenging but do not require monster shots.
Well done to the grounds crew for the condition of the course. I have played it often in all seasons and it has always been well maintained. I strongly recommend that you try it. If you do, you will be back.
Brought a friend to play
Have played this course in an outing before. Decided to invite a friend who had never played it before who plays another course quite often. Was totally impressed and we will be back if the weather permits this year.
Excellent Golf
Played Grantwood about four times this summer. Course was in excellent condition and pace of play was steady. Always found challenging holes on both sides. Definitely difficult holes. Cart paths the whole course, very nice. Also used the range, a big asset for the course. Highly recommend playing there.

course condition
you can tell course has had some trouble with weather. too many thinned and burnt areas of fairways. Can't cut to thin in certain conditions. Greens in nice shape.
Great Course
First time playing course, will definitely be returning. Couldn't believe how ENTIRE course was still.
Pric
We got a deal through Golf Now, but it still cost above what we like to pay for a round of golf. The greens were slow and bumpy. The course layout was a little confusing, with tee boxes too near some greens, allowing some interruption in play. Of the two carts in our foursome, one needed several punches on the accelerator to get going each time, and the other one continued to chug, even after taking the key out!

Great course to get your confidence back, wide open easy to find your ball...even after the rain fairways rolled forever...greens rolled smooth...
