Grantwood Golf Course
About
Grantwood Golf Course is one of the best golf values in the greater Cleveland area. The course sits next to Timberlake Recreation Park, a scenic park with a large fishing lake and picnic areas that are perfect for outdoor gatherings. The layout features small, undulating greens that are protected by more than 40 strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on 10 holes in the form of a meandering creek and several ponds. The golf course is a challenging-but-fair test for players of all skill levels. Beginners and high handicappers won't be intimidated by long forced carries and won't have to worry about losing balls on every hole. Grantwood Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and the tees are in close proximity, making this a perfect layout for walking.

Nice course, great price, greens were soft and course was well manicured.
Will play again
Nice looking layout with plenty of holes to let it fly but those holes only rewarded good shots. Bunkers and greens were in great shape for early April and few greens were quite a challenge.
Spring Play
In Cleveland area for business and had a day to kill. For early spring and the fact that this course had almost a foot of snow on it a week prior I was very surprised in the great condition the course was in Great round and a 65 deg day made for a good time.
When priced right it's worth playing
Nice course with some challenging holes. When tee times are offered at a discount, it is worth playing.
Defintely worthwhile
The facilities are excellent with a chipping green, putting green and dual function driving range (covered matt tees and open grass tees). The course is challenging and the pace of play was just under four hours on a Saturday afternoon. I was teamed up with three others, so we had a foursome.
If you play Grantwood, you won't be disappointed.
Not on my top ten
Nice course, needs some attention to tee boxes.
Greens were good. pace of play was not the best playing during the week, expect better. once a year play for me, that's all. Nice staff.
Good Value for the Money
The greens were good but the fairways were dry. Some tee boxes were like poor condition due to the dry conditions. We did not go into the clubhouse.
We had a threesome in front that turned into foursome. When we started they were half and hour ahead of us-we caught up to them at the 6th hole. They let us play thru on the 7th hole. We saw them five holes behind us when we were finishing the 18th hole. They should have a ranger.
Good challenge.
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed playing 18 the other day. The layout gives some good challenges. Plenty of ravines to go over, dog legs, plenty of bunkers. Nice cart paths, friendly staff. will be pretty in the fall.
Good Deal and Course
Nice course, challenging greens. Course not being marked for distance or location of tees is a big pet peeve of mine...this course is very well marked. Friendly staff and good pace of play. Highly recommend, but watch for deals. I paid $35 for 18 and cart on a day the course was running a $25 deal I was unaware of...still worth the $35
The was in great shape and fun holes
1st time playing the course. It was in great shape. There was 5-some playing ahead of us and the ranger had them split up. But a few holes later they rejoined as a 5-some but there was no ranger to be seen!
Great course close to home!
Course has some wide open holes that make for some easy play, but then some are tougher ones with doglegs with hidden greens that call for position play. #3 has a tough second shot over the lake. The par 4s have some nice distance to them. course is well maintained, and the ranger is always out keeping an eye on the speed of play. practice facilities are nice, though the ball bucket price is a little high.
VERY ENJOYABLE PLACE TO PLAY
COURSE WAS IN GREAT CONDITION. HOLES ARE CHALLENGING WITHOUT BEING OVERLY DIFFICULT. THIS IS NOT A GRIP IT AND RIP IT COURSE. SOME DECENT STRATAGY AND PLANNIG ARE NEEDED. PACE OF PLAY WAS GOOD.
Can't wait to come back.
I played Grantwood for the first time and came away VERY impressed. I especially liked the layout/design. It made the round interesting and fun. Course conditions were great. The greens were in great shape. There were rangers out and about to keep play moving along. (Finished in 3.5 hours) There is a driving range, short game area and a putting green so if you want to practice it's a perfect place for it. (Range balls were a little pricey...small bucket is $5.00. How about if you just want to hit a few before the round?) All in all I came away very impressed with Grantwood and I can't wait to get back.
Nice Course. Played Here Many Times
Grantwood is close to my home so I play here fairly often. It is well maintained and the staff is friendly. The practice is very, very nice. Quality of food is above average. The course is a little tough for a beginner, but fun to play. There is not a lot of water but enough to make if difficult. Hole # 3 is a challenging hole for any golfer with an accurate tee ball and a shot over a lake that has claimed many balls. Fair amount of bunkers. I like this course and would recommend it.
Enjoyed the course
I have played the course several times a season. It is fairly close to my residence and is convenient to play when I don't want to travel.
Great course for an amazing deal with golfnow
The course was pretty water logged the day I went. But that was due to the inch of snow that was on the ground a few days before. Can't wait to play on a nice dry sunny day for the same price.
good course for money
course was in god shape and seamed to drain very well, just wish weather would have held up
Grantwood on Nov 11, 2014
The course was in great shape. Greens were soft and very fast. Cart path only on only 2 holes. The remainder were fairways only, not rough. Probably the final golf day in 2014.
Nice coarse
Way to take advantage of the weather and GolNow hot deal........nice coarse
Thanks for coming out!!!
